Sweden Rock Festival 2009

Sweden Rock Festival, the heavy rock festival returns to the northern town of Sölvesborg in Sweden from Wednesday 3rd June until Saturday 5th June.

This year's line-up confirmed so far includes:
Day unknown: Hot Leg, Rage, Deathstars, Vains Of Jenna, Babylon Bombs, Innocent Rosie, Witchcraft, Fourever And Hindenburg.

Wednesday: Uriah Heep, Sevendust, Blaze Bayley, Amon Amarth, The Chair, Hysterica.
Thursday: ZZ Top, Twisted Sister, Hammerfall, Candlemass, Flogging Molly, Over The Rainbow, The Tubes, Bullet, The Outlaws, Volbeat, Pain, Grand Magus, H.E.A.T.
Friday: In Flames, Foreigner, Motörhead, UFO, Kamelot, Johnny Winter, Marillion, Lita Ford, Eric Sardinas, Jon Oliva's Pain, Thor, Deströyer 666, Crucified Barbara, Unleashed.
Saturday: Heaven & Hell, Journey, Dream Theater, Blackfoot, Riot, Forbidden, Electric Boys , Europe, Immortal, Soilwork, Tim "Ripper" Owens, Helstar, Kebnekajse.

The Alarm Stage will feature The Graviators, Vision, Omnispawn, Kells, Kamchatka, Karras, Alicate, Frontback, Sanitania, Wasteland Skills, One Without, Thrill Warriors, Dawn Of Silence, Decadence, The Flower People, Portrait, Psyckadeli, Imber, Trauma Machine, Lechery, Soundchaser, Musik Direkt Showcase (Killer Cars, Nyx och Roadkill 66), Massive Scar Era, Sins In Vain, Martina Edoff, Kivimetsän Druidi, Yana Mangi, Tarook, Leopard Ladys, Fall Into Oblivion, The Itch, Scarlet Drop, M.A.N, and Unfaithful.

Four day tickets were priced at 1990,00 kr (approx £160) and have sold out. Three day tickets for June 4-6 also priced at 1990,00 kr (approx £160) are available, as are one day tickets, Wednesday is priced at 590,00 kr (approx £45), Thursday, Friday or Saturday tickets are priced at 990,00 kr (approx £80). It is free entry for children under 13 years of age in the company of a guardian, although it the festival does not recommend that infants attend. To buy tickets, click here.

This year there is a new camping site that will be located approximately 900 meters from the festival area, west of Norje village. The Camping sites have different zones which are divided by fire breaks. Tents are not permitted in the fire breaks and will be removed. Furniture, mattresses etc are not allowed at the camping sites, however regular sun chairs are are. No vehicles are allowed at the camping sites, and any kind of open fire is forbidden, there are marked spots where festival goers can cook.

Alcohol and glass bottles are only allowed outside the festival area, there are bars in the arenas. Plastic bottles must be empty when entering the area, there are water post to fill them up in the arena.

There are charter flights, as well as rail links to Sweden. From Stockholm there are transfers to Sölvesborg airport, and buses running to the festival from both the train station and the airport.
