Swn this year happens on just one day with a showcase of some of the best music from Wales and from around the world. DimSwn as it's called takes place on Saturday 18th October 2014.
Line-up
Latest additions are Alice Jemima, Best Friends, Crows, Jagaara, Kid Wave, Mellt, Mwnci Nel, Rag n Bone Man, Sen Segur, The Earth, and Titus Monk.
The line-up will be A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Baby Queens, Blaenavon, Breathe In The Silence, Bryony Sier, Candelas, CaStLeS, Chris Jones, Cian Ciaran, Clear The Auditorium, Climbing Trees, Cold Committee, Cotton Wolf, Delyth McLean, Gabrielle Murphy, Gengahr, Glass Giants, Golden Fable, Grumbling Fur, Hana, Happyness, Houdini Dax, Kizzy Crawford, Luvv, Martin Carr, Mixalydia, Peasant’s King, Plu, Prides, Seazoo, Swnami, Taffy, Telegram, The Amazing Snakeheads, The People The Poet, The Wytches, Trwbador, Wasters, We’re No Heroes, and Woman’s Hour.
Tickets
Tickets for Dimswn are priced at £24, and £12 for teen (ages 14 - 17 years) wristband.
Wristbands
The festival uses a wristband system which offers free access to as many shows as possible, plus art exhibitions, film and more. A wristband also entitles the wearer to discounts in stores in Cardiff (to be confirmed), and free rides on the Swn buses across town over the main Swn weekend.
The event will feature bands from both Wales and across the world, as well as DJs, film and art. There will be lots of different genres from hip hop to indie, folk, dance and rock.
Other events expected at the festival include a silent disco, cinema, workshops, and art exhibitions.
Venues
Swn Festival 2014 will be hosted across various venues in and around the centre of Cardiff.
