More info

The Green Gathering promotes and platforms sustainable lifestyles, combining education with entertainment.

GG is a place to relax, make friends and listen to music - but it's also much more than that. It's a community and a learning experience that often proves inspirational, even transformational. It's about providing food, energy, health and shelter without degrading the planet. It's about future families.

The Green Gathering attracts a broad range of people of different ages and backgrounds. It has a community atmosphere and peaceful hangouts to balance its lively venues.

The festival is entirely off-grid; all stages are 100% powered by wind, sun and people. Pioneers in alternative technologies are on hand to teach what they know and a trip to the Greensweep recycling depot is an education in it's own right!

The Green Gathering's West Country cider and ale bars provide tipples to whet the whistle at very reasonable prices, while the ethical markets and hearty, wholesome food stalls are great for browsing and grazing...

Workshops and activities

Workshops in traditional crafts compete for attention with permaculture gardening, radical cinema, campaign stalls, ethical markets, an interactive art studio, wood-fired spas and campfire debates.

Powered by wind, sun and people, The Green Gathering is a festival "beyond hedonism", where "people party... then wake up and put the world to rights!" The Green Gathering provides a wide range of children's activities for kids of all ages, from toddlers to youths.

Growing in popularity each year, the Raconteurs' Delight Stage in the heart of the festival features spoken word, comedy, cabaret, circus, song and jazz by night; workshops in dance, creative writing, theatre, songwriting, clowning and more by day.

Ethos

The Green Gathering Charity promotes environmental sustainability, ecological awareness, biodiversity, human rights, appropriate technology and independent media, through education, communication and the arts.

The Charity and the Gathering provide opportunities for learning about these issues, from the perspective that education should be hands-on and fun.

There will be more information here when available.
