After it's inaugural year last year the The Insider will happen again, a bit bigger and with another stage and even more of Scotland's talent. Set in the gardens and grounds of the Inshriach estate, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and with 30 acres of riverside camping shared by just 500 people the Insider is a bohemian garden party adventure.

Expect whisky tastings and welly wanging, ballad singing and breakdancing, spit-roasts and scallops, boat trips, bike trips, stories, poems, woodwork and more.

The Insider starts on Thursday 17th June with a Festival of Firewood, a free public day organised with the Cairngorms National Park, then continues until the Sunday 20th June with the festival proper.

Green ethos

Green ethos The festival is locally organised and all the food, drink, and most of the bands are locally sourced, apart from maybe a couple from Ireland, and probably some Scandinavians. Wherever possible the bars and stages are made of recycled materials and the whole event takes place in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Firewood festival is about woodworking, trees and renewable energy and the National Park have provided an electric car for the organisers to run around in.

The Insider happens in an area of outstanding natural beauty and they want it to stay that way. Please remember that horses live in the fields the rest of the year and don't leave anything behind.

More information will be here when available.
