Thirteen Senses were suffering from the overwhelming popularity of Razorlight, who were unfortunately billed to play on the main stage at the same time as the Cornish four piece.
The band opted-out of showcasing the new song they played at Glastonbury earlier this year, instead drawing songs from their debut album The Invitation.
Vocalist Will South spent the majority of the set playing the keyboard, only taking to guitar for the final song Thru the Glass. South showed off his amazing vocal reach on songs like Automatic and the Salt Wound Routine.
The singles all went down extremely well, Into the fire in particular. When South asked the audience if anyone owned the album there was a huge cheer, which brought a smile to his face.
South spoke to the audience in a gentlemanly tone; he seems to posses a modest charm. Towards the front of the stage a group of girls started screaming We love you Will, to which he looked more embarrassed than anything else.
Having been compared to both Coldplay and Radiohead in the past, there is no doubt that Thirteen Senses have the ability and the songs to generate a similar level of success. Throughout their 35 minute slot the crowd continued to grow and there was a substantial audience by the time the band was playing their last song on the Radio 1/NME stage.
