The Totnes Festival takes place around the picturesque town of Totnes in South Devon, from Friday 23rd August until Sunday 1st September 2013.

Peggy Seeger, Yes Sir Boss, Becky Brine Band, Alice Oswald, The Dartington Morris Men, Cosmo Jarvis, The Carnival Band, Wolf Club, The Lewis Riley Trio, How to Say Nothing and Mean A Lot, The Fab Beatles, Improperly Comedy Improvisation, Rebecca Maze, TEDx, Nell and I, Katie Marie, Diamond Family Archive, The Ancient Future, Radio Ballad Salad, Appaloosas, Land Of The Giants, Katie Marie & Al Swainger, Clockwork Moth, Cover Spy Collective, Andrea Soler, Matthew & Me, Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, and Jelly Jazz.

The Festival's schedule includes music, the arts, performance, crafts, literature, fashion, film, foraged food, garden tours, ecology and alternative lifestyles. Venues throughout Totnes will play host to local, national and international artists, with plenty of outdoor events and attractions on offer to entertain the whole family.

Other events

Aside from many night time concerts and performances, the Festival offers loads of activities for the entire family. Wildwise Events are running a family bushcraft day, an invigorating experience in outdoor skills, including natural fire-making and shelter building, as well as a night paddle on the River Dart with a campfire supper. Monkey Music and Playstation Totnes are planning a family fun day of activities, games and a raffle.

Plus the first ever Totnes Town Challenge, part treasure hunt, part public service on Saturday 24 August at the Civic Market Square.

Japanese arts and crafts, storytelling and embodied performance by Isabella Lazlo. There's summer star gazing at Sharpham, workshops for women with sound and movement, a three night run of For The Trumpets Shall Sound by Another Story Theatre Company, and a friendly selection of performances and music from many alumni of Dartington College of Arts.

The Bay Horse Inn, is the festival fringe venue, offering a cider and beer festival along with free entry to all its performances.
