This thriving major folk arts festival, returns to celebrate it's 53rd year, returning for a 3rd year to the fields at Thame Showground, Oxfordshire.
The dates for 2017 are confirmed as the Bank Holiday weekend of Friday 25th to Monday 28th August.
Towersey has developed in the last few years from a very Folky event into a more eclectic festival with a fair amount of World and broader acoustic music, singer songwriters stage, poetry, street theatre etc.
Line-up
Confirmed music acts include KT Tunstall, Newton Faulkner, Show Of Hands, Jon Boden, The Blockheads, Foy Vance, Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band, Lindisfarne, Flook, Gary Stewart's Graceland, Coope Boyes & Simpson, and many more.

It's a packed programme of folk and roots music, ceilidhs, international dance teams, spoken word & comedy, family entertainers, workshops and a Children's Festival which incorporates entertainment, music, puppetry, circus skills and craft workshops.

Tickets are priced £136 (plus camping £24 extra)
Concessions £115 (Camping £25 extra)
Youth (12-17yrs) £99 (Camping £25 extra)
Child (5-11yrs) £57 (Camping no extra)
Tickets for children aged under 5 are free - they must be ticketed.
Day tickets are also available. They are priced at £40 on Friday-Sunday for adults, £28 for youths and £18 for children, and £30 on Monday for adults, £21 for youths and £14 for children.
Ceilidh
This year's theme for the Ceilidh has not yet been confirmed.
