The 10th Ullapool Guitar Festival takes place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th October 2009 at in the Macphail Centre at Ullapool in Scotland. With the Late night Festival club will take place in the Arch Inn West Shore Street Ullapool.
This year the Festival features Henry McCulloch, Clive Carroll, Woody Mann, Alex De Grassi, Garry Potter, Peter Finger, Hugh Burns, Gareth Pearson, Wizz Jones, John James, Pete Price, John Goldie, Iain (Fingers)Forbes, Johnny Dickinson, Paul Buckley, Tristan Seume Swing Guitars, plus Allan Neave, Sean Shibe and Sofia Pyrounaki from the Royal Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow( RAMD).
The above named artists will be appearing in the 5 concerts and 3 Festival clubs over the weekend.
The Festival also has a trade show with guitars for sale from the likes of Fylde, Moon and Avalon Guitars.
Festival weekend tickets are now on sale at a cost of £90 per person which entitles the individual to entry to all 5 concerts (in the Macphail Centre) and three Festival clubs (at The Arch Inn). To make stewarding easier all concerts will require the ticket holder to wear/display a Festival wristband. Depending on availability, some individual concert tickets will go on sale in due course.
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in Ullapool which are all supporting the festival.
