Upton upon Severn Folk Festival celebrates its 20th Birthday over the May Bank holiday from Friday 1st until Monday 4th May 2009, that takes place in the town of Upton Upon Severn in Worcestershire.

Artists booked for 2009 so far include Belshazzar's Feast, Calan (Wales), The Tindalls, Hoover the Dog, Bordewey & Young, Ian King & musicians with Colette Todd (from Riverdance), Quartz, That Shallott, Tyskie (Scot.), The Snapes, Pat Smith & Ned Clamp, Vital Spark, Shellback Chorus, Rod Penlington, Brian Bull, Regesters, Matt Black, Jonny Kearney, Tinkerscuss, and Claret. There are more artists to be announced.

The festival will also have over 50 Morris and other dance sides plus ceilidhs, concerts, workshops, craft fair, music and song sessions, musical meander in the foothills of the Malverns, street theatre, a grand procession, and even a duck race.

Festival tickets are priced at £45 for a full weekend (if bought before the Saturday 25th April), junior tickets (12-15) £22, and under 12s are free. To download a ticket booking form, click here.

The festival also hosts Folk Clubs in which there are open mic sessions. Just turn up in good time before the start and ask. (Spots will be allocated at the discretion of the MC.)

There will also be free dances under the bridge, plus the popular 'Upton Fringe' events, and spontaneous street acts.

Camping is only available to pre-booked weekend ticket holders.
