V Festival returns on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th August 2008.
Confirmed so far are headliners Muse (Saturday) and The Verve (Sunday), joined by Kings Of Leon, Stereophonics, Amy Winehouse, The Kooks, Maximo Park, Lenny Kravitz, The Feeling, Squeeze, The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs, The Pigeon Detectives, The Zutons, Newton Faulkner, The Hoosiers, Reverend And The Makers, Duffy, Scouting For Girls, Shed Seven, The Courteeners, Ian Brown, The Chemical Brothers, The Pogues, The Charlatans, Jamie T, Hot Chip, Travis, The Twang, and more with many more still to be announced. For the full details to-date including day and stage splits click here.
A limited amount of 'early bird' tickets were available for a short while after the 2007 festival, but these have now sold out. Tickets were on sale priced as follows: £145 weekend pass with camping, £125 weekend pass without camping, £70 day ticket (plus £8 booking fees).
Tickets are still on sale for Sunday only priced at £70. There are still combined coach, camping and weekend tickets are available for both events priced from £176.50 to £193.75 and can be purchased by here.
The site is open (for weekend campers) from 10am Friday until midday Monday. On Saturday and Sunday the arena will open at 12 noon and close at 11pm (when the bands finish).
Weekend with camping ticket holders must exchange their ticket for a wristband at the wristband exchange tent. Both weekend ticket holders (without camping) and day ticket holders do not need to exchange their tickets.
Please note, if you have a weekend ticket (without camping) then your ticket will consist of three parts. The left hand section is to be handed in to the stewards at the gate on Saturday, the right hand on Sunday and the centre is to be retained by yourself. Do not lose any of these sections as you will not be granted admittance and duplicate tickets will not be issued.
Please note that due to changes being considered at the planning stage of the layout of the site at Hylands Park - camping may not actually be in the grounds of Hylands but in the fields adjoining the Park (near Yellow campsite). This is yet to be confirmed and might mean you may have to walk a bit further from the car park to the campsite, but you will have a better festival experience with more facilities closer to you once you are camped, there will be more details provided nearer the festival weekend.
Car parking is normally £5 per vehicle in advance or £10 on the gate. There is ample parking and you should have purchased a car parking sticker when you booked your tickets, this should have arrived in the same envelope as your tickets.
There are to be no campfires and no glass allowed on site. No alcohol is permitted to be taken into the arena. The only containers permitted in the arena will be those carrying non alcoholic liquid in collapsible plastic, foil or cardboard forms of not more than 1 litre.
The bars are operated on a token system. Tokens are purchased from the token booths then exchanged at the bar for drinks. Some token booths will remain open for 1 hour after the bars have closed so vouchers can be redeemed.
Lockers are situated outside the arena by Gate 3, prices are as displayed.
There'll be more information here when available.
