Offering a bill of predominantly commercial acts, crowd favourites, and radio friendly indie upstarts in a party atmosphere. V Festival returns for a 20th year provisionally on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August 2015.
Line-up
Latest additions De La Soul, Pendulum (DJ set), Mnek, The Coronas, Conor Maynard, Shift K3y, Sinead Harnett, Seafret, Zac Samuel, James Glover, and Nick Jonas.
Kasabian, and Calvin Harris will headline. Also confirmed to appear are Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, The Script, Hozier, George Ezra, Stereophonics, Paloma Faith, James Bay, Olly Murs, Chvrches, Imelda May, Kodaline, Ella Henderson, Nero, Reverend And The Makers, Courteeners, Marina and the Diamonds, The Proclaimers, Tom Jones, The Charlatans, Sigma, Wretch 32, Echo and the Bunnymen, Hilltop Hoods, Lawson, Indiana, Labrinth, Jess Glynne, Andy C, The Kooks, Gregory Porter, LunchMoney Lewis, Mark Ronson (DJ Set), Example & DJ Wire (DJ Set), Tove Lo, Maverick Sabre, Bleachers, Aston Merrygold, Scouting For Girls, Fuse ODG, Clean Bandit, Duke Dumont, Jessie Ware, Ella Eyre, Hannah Wants, and Annie Mac, plus many more to be announced across four stages.
Oliver Heldens, and Hannah Wants will take the headlining spots in the new Dance Tent over the weekend, accompanied by DJ Ez, MistaJam, Monki, My Nu Leng, Alex Adair, Sam Feldt, Philip George, Toddla T, Goldie, Moxie, and Marvin Humes presents Luvbug.
The Glee Club Comedy Tent also returns as the festival’s fifth stage this year, with a line-up including Russell Kane, Frankie Boyle, Seann Walsh, Shappi Khorsandi, Nick Helm, Gary Delaney, Matt Richardson, Jarlath Regan, Suzi Ruffell, Tom Deacon, Luisa Omielan, Paul McCaffrey, Kevin McCarthy, Mark Olver, Simon King, Andrew O'Neill, Jen Brister, Gareth Richards, Marlon Davis, Prince Abdi, Danny McLoughlin, Craig Murray, and Andy Robinson.
Tickets
The early bird ticket offer has ended.
Tickets are priced at £189 for a weekend with camping, or £165 without camping, and £99 for a campervan pass. VIP options are also be available.
Registered disabled customers are permitted to one helper free of charge, if you need more than one helper please purchase a second ticket for that person. (The second helper may not gain access to the viewing platforms)
Make sure any tickets you buy are legitimate. eFestivals always links to official ticket outlets (and doesn't host adverts for unofficial outlets unlike other festival websites!) so you can be sure that any ticket bought via eFestivals will get you into the festival of your choice. Do not purchase tickets from unofficial or secondary ticket outlets or auction sites as they often are unable to supply the tickets, and might not even give you a refund - there's lots of dodgy operators out there!
Game On area
New for 2015, is the Carling Game On area will give people the chance to enjoy footie moments across the weekend in the photobooth by creating a GIF to share on social media as well as sport and music banter shown on a giant screen. There will be DJs, table football, and an appearance by Jimmy Bullard who will be taking on a celebrity challenger in a game of FootPool.
Opening times
With a capacity of 90,000 the site is open (for weekend campers) from 10am Friday until midday Monday. On Saturday and Sunday the arena will open at 12 noon and close at 11pm (when the bands finish).
Weekend with camping ticket holders must exchange their ticket for a wristband at the wristband exchange tent. Both weekend ticket holders (without camping) and day ticket holders do not need to exchange their tickets.
Please note, if you have a weekend ticket (without camping) then your ticket will consist of three parts. The left hand section is to be handed in to the stewards at the gate on Saturday, the right hand on Sunday and the centre is to be retained by yourself. Do not lose any of these sections as you will not be granted admittance and duplicate tickets will not be issued.
Parking
There is ample parking on the festival site.
Please note for both festival sites 1 campervan pitch is for a campervan, caravan or camping trailer and a maximum of 4 persons per pitch. There are no tents, cars or vans allowed in the campervan site.
Restrictions
There are to be no campfires and no glass allowed on site. No alcohol is permitted to be taken into the arena. The only containers permitted in the arena will be those carrying non alcoholic liquid in collapsible plastic, foil or cardboard forms of not more than 1 litre.
Bars
The bars are operated on a token system. Tokens are purchased from the token booths then exchanged at the bar for drinks. Some token booths will remain open for 1 hour after the bars have closed so vouchers can be redeemed.
Lockers
Lockers are situated outside the arena by Gate 3, prices are as displayed.
