A family-friendly chilled event that's part music festival, and part meeting point for lovers of Volkswagens, of all types, but particularly the Beetle and Camper.
The fourth V-Dub Island takes place at the festival's new home East Afton Farm, Freshwater, on the Isle of Wight from Thursday 14th until Sunday 18th August 2014.
The home of the iconic 1970 Isle Of Wight pop festival, and so the theme will be 'Flower Power'.

Pver 80 bands including The Skatonics, Who's Next, Wight Floyd, The Golden Strands, Si Genaro, Steve Rogers, Shoot The Moon, Strange Doors, The Hillmans, Kingz Of Vocals, Are You Experienced, Jess White, The Prospects, The Star Men, Stone Heroes, Annie Winter, Grade 2, Stars Over Shadow, Save The Dinosaurs, The Ohmz, Duveaux, Biggtopp, The Grimaldi Band, Shanty, Damian Paul, Ba-Dow, Penny Churchill, Juke Box Jazz, Painless Partys, and Cat Skellington.

The early bird offer has ended. Tickets are priced at £32.50, with under 16s able to attend free.
The 1970 Isle of Wight Pop Festival Reunion
VDub Festival is held on the same site as the 1970 Isle of Wight Pop Festival. To this end the organisers have very kindly invited a number of the veterans of 1970 to be present over the weekend, especially on the Saturday which is going to be the commemoration day and features excellent tribute acts of the bands that played back in those distant days.

Designed especially for lovers, owners and enthusiasts of all models and types of VW. This family show offers a chilled, laid-back weekend of all things VW offering a full line-up of entertainments and music, an auto jumble, and various trade stalls, including VW Heritage, show and shine competition, best dressed pet, the onsite beach, and Wight Trash skate ramp. Plus guided woodland walks for families including survival skills talks, and a beach fossil walk.
On Saturday morning V-Dub Island takes its annual drive-out through the Isle of Wight countryside, which last year attracted over a hundred VW's and is expected to grow even larger this year. The drive-out will culminate at V-Dub Island's surf competition, which is held against the backdrop of The Needles.
New activities this year include the Soap Box Derby, Tug Of War, House of Chilli, and pie eating competitions, the silent disco and the Grace café & stage.
For the younger event goers, there will be children’s story telling, children’s workshops, a play area, traditional funfair and not forgetting The Beach which is back even bigger& better and a new feature, a 45ft slide, plus children's entertainers, the opportunity to paint and decorate a real VW beetle, and a sandcastle competition to name but a few.
