Non-VW owners

Whilst this festival is called Volksfest, it is not prohibitive in letting non-Volkswagon owners attend. Whilst many VW owners camp in special reserved camping beside the main arena, above the arena on the slopes of Newnham Park is open to all, with the added bonus of being able to camp next to your vehicle most of the time. BBQ's (off the ground) are permitted, but not open fires, there are proper festival food stalls in the main arena.

No Glass

No Glass is permitted on site, please remember this when packing. Please do not leave any kit behind when you leave the Park. There are specific designated recycling points on the hill, please use them, try to leave the site as you found it.

Club camping/ Campervan camping

For 2013, campervan pitch sizes are designated areas of 6mX8m to allow for awnings. ONE vehicle per pitch/pass these are not reserved. To guarantee camping together considering booking as a club in White camping.

Areas

The campsite areas are divided into different colours:

Green Gate – This is 'Festival Camping' most commonly associated with young adults and party goers who will more than likely want to carry on the party!

White Gate – This is for the well behaved types that might not fancy lights out at midnight, but won't be annoying the neighbours either!

Blue Gate – 'Quiet Camping' perfect for those with young families who need to get a good night’s sleep before an early start in the morning. No noise after midnight here.

Kids stuff

There's a wealth of activities for kids to do - these are often not fully listed in the programme, and there is a chalk board at the entrance, and more information in the workshop tents, as well activities in the large kids' area.

Show'n'Shine

The festival offers VW owners a chance to show off their vehicles in various categories, and provide festival goers a chance to look at all the entries in the arena. This year the show and shine display is going to be held on the Sunday with the Saturday being aimed at the clubs displays with great prizes for the best and wackiest club.

Bajas

The festival offers the chance to go offroad with Bajas (pronounced badgers) on a specially devised course beside the site. The BajaClub offer off road challenges over two days. Those with Bajas need to get their cars checked over by a BajaClub marshal to join in with the various off-road challenges. Festival goers are welcome to watch or ride with a BajaClub member. Rides are given for a small donation to the club.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome onsite under full supervision. They must be kept on leads at all times, even in camping areas, and must be cleaned up after.

More information will be here when available.
