Now in its fourth year, the Waterlooville Music Festival is a cultural and musical event in East Hampshire, taking place from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st June 2009.

The festival focus is on popular classical, but a wide ranging programme is offered which in the past has included heavy rock and folk music, songs from the musicals, through to weighty classical organ pieces.

This year, the programme consists of the following concerts:
Saturday, 13th June:
Market Place Music (at lunchtime) A wide variety of musical events at various locations across Waterlooville town centre Organised by the Waterlooville Business Association featuring: TS Alacrity, Blarney Band, Big Noise Samba, Maritime Brass, TS Active Portsmouth Grammar School Band, Havant Light Opera, John Corin (Harpist), Denmead Brass, Havant Clarinet & Saxophone Choir II, The Salvation Army, Batala Samba Band, Waterlooville Baptist Church, Brass Reflections, Clive New Big Band, South Zone, Spinnaker Brass, Saxophony, Clarinet Quartet, Chas n Dave, Horndean School and many more.
7.30.pm (evening) Folk And Ale Festival: Issy & David Emeney Kate Riaz, Rapscallion

Sunday, 14th June:
Scratch Choir (evening).

Monday, 15th June:
Morning from 10.15.am. Musical Storytime - sessions for local schools.
12.15.pm and 1.15.pm (lunchtime) Musical Storytime: 'Beyond The Stave' featuring Stephen Binnington, Fraser Wilson and Rosalind Wilson.
4.pm (afternoon) Hulbert Junior School - Voice Mania and Hulbert Junk Band
7.30.pm. (evening) Guy Button, Africapella

4.pm (afternoon) St Peters' Rc Primary School - in concert
7.30.pm (evening) Venetia Wind Quintet Chamber music - an entertaining evening of popular classics

Friday, 19th June:
12.15.pm and 1.15.pm (lunchtime) Organ Recital: Michael Wynne, Director of Music, St Mary's Priory, Warrington.
Afternoon: Dancing Display by LA Dance
4.pm (afternoon) Hart Plain Junior School - in concert (provisional)
7.30.pm (evening) Havant Light Opera Sing-a-long Gilbert and Sullivan

Saturday, 20th June:

7.30.pm (evening) Last Night Of The Proms. Highbury Area Band under the direction of guest conductor Don Lloyd. Licensed bar serving real ale. Finalé to the Waterlooville Music Festival. Early reservation of tickets is strongly recommended.
