The fifth annual Wimbledon Music Festival runs from Saturday 9th until Saturday 23rd November 2013, offering a line-up of hand-picked Classical artists performing at various venues around Wimbledon including Sacred Heart Church, Wimbledon College Theatre, Kings College School, Southside House, Wimbledon Synagogue, and St John's Church.
Line-up
Angela Hewitt playing Bach, The Brodsky Quartet serenading Wolf, Wagner, Verdi and joining Michael Collins in Brahms; Calefax Reed quintet; Raphael Wallfisch and friends playing piano trios; Sir John Tomlinson with David Owen Norris paying tribute to Michelangelo and Britten; Susan Tomes with Erich Höbarth playing Mozart; Organist Jennifer Bate with trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins; Quatuor Mosaiques; Bach with the Academy Choir & Baroque Players, Julia Doyle, Marcus Farnsworth and others; and the complete Brandenburgs with Florilegium.
Opening weekend: Academy Choir & Baroque Players, Brodsky Quartet with Michael Collins.
Week One: Gesualdo Consort, Rivka Golani, She'Koyokh, Angela Hewitt, Students of the Yehudi Menuhin School, The Royal Academy of Music, Shaham - Erez - Wallfisch Piano Trio, Sir John Tomlinson and Michelangelo Sonnets
Week Two: Quatuor Mosaïques, Susan Tomes/ Eric Höbarth , Calefax Reed Quintet, Judy Carmichael, Jennifer Bate/ Crispian Steele-Perkins, The Brandenburg Experience, and Sins of the Fathers by Jessica Duchen.
