A statement from organisers said, "The WIT Trustees have made the difficult decision to cancel Women in Tune 2016 festival. We realise this will disappoint you all, but we have done so after careful thought.

We fully intend to arrange another festival in 2017, and will be setting a date for that in the following months. We won’t be making any further statements in relation to this as a Trustee group or as individuals."

Women in Tune (WIT) Music Festival is a unique women-only music festival. The festival runs from Thursday 11th to Monday 15th August 2016, in the small village of Lampeter, Ceridigion, Mid Wales.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016.

Tickets

Ticket prices for working women is £90 in advance (£100 on the gate), a ticket for the low waged is priced is priced at £65 (£70 on the gate), a ticket for the unwaged is priced at £50. Girls aged under 16 can attend free and have their own under 16s festival area. This festival is for women and girls and festival goers are asked not to bring any boys over the age of 5.

The theme for 2016 is Living the Dream.

The festival includes music, dance, theatre, story and poetry, on stage and off. The festival showcases women's music with a wide range of musical styles on offer. Workshops will be on during the day, some by the performers themselves.
