The second annual York Spring Festival of new Music is an opportunity to experience a wide range of genres in just one weekend from Wednesday 29th April to Sunday 3rd May 2015 at various venues in the City of York .
Line-up
Featuring performances by current York-based ensembles as well as University alumni, events will include: an entrancing performance by The Lyre Ensemble; the premier of Marc Yeats's new work for piano the magical control of rain; the return of dynamic contemporary chamber ensemble Dark Inventions; and newly formed soprano/marimba duo PercusSing with a programme of works written especially for them.

This year's Festival will continue its tangent of taking the thrill of new music out into the city, with concerts at the National Centre for Early Music and other venues in the centre of town. There will be opportunities for participation, music being created before your very eyes and ears, rhythms which will sway you, fascinating and challenging discussion, and a host of new sounds to explore.
