Right, I`ve gone to my Flickr site-- chose a pic.. right clicked on it and got the URL--- copied it..and came beack here.

Opened up new post... clicked on icon 4th from right ie Insert Image.

Box open-- I copy url into that box and then it appears above where i`m typing now as---

(img) http blah blah ..... (img)

Now --is that all I do? Does that mean that this is a link to the picture when I`m actually trying to put the pic in the message?

Once again--I will see what happens when I click on POST...here goes...

den

... tried to post and ...ERROR came up--- <<Sorry, dynamic pages in the %7Boption%7D tags are not allowed>>

<<You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif>>

I think I`ve cracked how to insert a link to my Flickr page--but thats not the point is it.

I must be copying the url wrongly from flickr?

How do i copy an url off a pic in my Flickr?

So--its not YOUR campervan then? You`ve just pretended to have one to fit in--- and nicked a picture off line?

Ey--how low can you sorts get?

Nobody can deny my description of these Southern Types as nothing else but accurate--surely?

Mr Blue fights back in a very measured way ? Now I don't feel a too much of an idiot for not being able to help you with the Countdown. Maybe we should have a'how to post a piccie on the forum workshop' at Wychwood starting late like.... for Den. Careful though Mr Blue although you said you just lived in down in the Courtenbay and therefore alluded to not being a suvvvarrner there is no 'in the' it is simply Up North.

Removing all text after the .jpg part of the name allows the picture to appear - not sure how long that image will exist for though.

[That image from Flickr]

Alternativly, do a properties on the get original size of the image and use that. Once again, not sure how long that will last.

Other sites which dont generate the images are easier to link to, as shown.
