a couple of pics from the other night. first pic was a couple who have so many hurdles getting together and it was lovely to see them all happy and relaxed together and with no worries. this pic they didnt know I was taking there pic and there eyes said it all.

second pic was the lovely wifes first night out since the birth of our daughter, and she was just letting her hair down singing away. gave me a lovely proud feeling inside.

I recently decided to back up my ancient film slr with an Olympus E-P1. Gonna spend my hard earned cash on some awesome lenses and post my efforts later in the year.

Anyone know a good site where I can buy photos taken by the press over the years. Specifically, Im looking for the photo of George Bests celebration after he scored here (at the end of the clip). Was watching this on tv the other night, ESPN classic or summat. I saw it on the wall in the film “Looking for Eric” too. Great photo.

Also, anyone know where I can find a site/someone who does good movie stills?

Thought Id ressurect this thread with a little story...

Needed to go and take some pics of lake windermere in the lake district as a present for my mates engagement (the proposed on one of the piers). Checked the weather forcast for Sunday just gone and all was supposed to be fine, sunny with light clouds. Thought that would have been perfect for a sunrise picture with the sun shining through the clouds onto the lake. So i dusted off the SLR the night before and charged the battery etc, got up at 6.30 in the morning, got up there for 7.30 in the ice and snow, setup in the dark and what happened... clouds closed in, rain started and everything stayed black for the next 1 1/2hrs. Didnt even get to see sunrise as the clouds were so think. Anyway eventually I managed to get some shots and out of the 200+ I took i got about 3 pretty good ones. Once Ive cleaned em up il post on here anyway.

has anybody else got any photo taking tales of woe??
