Chocscoffer
Excellent link! If there are a few of us who fancy attending then maybe a casual plan sounds like a good idea. Anybody care to assist me?

Chocscoffer
Was the charge for a fake moustache? I've heard they were charging some money and it was going to charity but I have only heard that through the grapevine so to speak! I have seen somewhere that it is at the Pussy Parlure so I am thinking it is at Downlow but i will find out for definate beforehand.

Swimmy
thats not a straight pub. just a homophobic bar-steward.
Chocscoffer
Where is the Pussy Parlure then? I totally appreciate what you say about charging to get into somewhere onsite at Glastonbury, if it is for charity then optional donation maybe a better way. Although in saying the above i'll probably be drunk by then so paying for a fake moustache will seem like a fantastic idea

Tommy
Got bored at page 4, so here's the end of the thread, right here: 1. There'll be plenty of gayness at Glastonbury, don't you worry. ii. Homophobia's bad, mmmkay? c. Can anyone see the irony of people trying so hard to be liberal that they actually appear homophobic? Some of the responses on this thread have been piss funny. There we go, all sorted now. If you need any other questions answering, just drop me a line. Chocscoffer
Are you alive talullah or have you fallen off! Seriously though I did see the irony in some posts big time but chose not to comment. As for the rest of the posts Tommy it was a slightly warm debate but we've all kissed and made up and are looking forward to getting smashed together, possibly even a gay meet up (who'd have thought that at the beginning of the thread!). itsybitsy
erm....i dont quite see how that post contradicts what Im saying to be honest.....The post above is trying to show while christians dont agree with the gay life style to automatic persume they feel hatred or exterme dislike to these people is not true. You've taken the post a little out of context. Any way lets leave this post where it belongs and comment on that post if you want to that that discussion further otherwise I am in danger of being misunderstood. I do agree how being gay isn't a choice....something I personally belive.....not all christians belive that gay people wont got to heaven for example. I think that god is a far bigger person than the average human being.... As for being patronsining....that certainly was not my aim!! While you say being a christian is a choice....which is technically true....people that truely belive dont feel like its a choice to belive in god.....and i think that should be undertstood and respected a little more... Also I dont see why we need to have an argument...lets have a disscusion like adults!! Finally....its a free world...i should be able to comment on any thread I choose!!! Chocscoffer
From what I gather last year it was a bit of a nightmare getting in so I have seen they are on at 11.30pm (going by a print out of the line-up from an earlier thread) I reckon the Cider Bus for a meeting point and then go from there. Not sure how long it takes but if we meet at say 10.00pm it gives us plenty of time to get to the dance village and inside in good time. What does everybody think? I will start a list of possible attendees if people want? I'll have to go back through the threads so bare with me! mouth
The net effect is the same. Anyway, gay bars are open to straight folks. I used to go to the Granby in Reading with a friend as he wanted people to go with, and despite most of the poeple I met guessing immediately I'm straight no one had a problem with it. Living near Portsmouth I'm pretty sure a lot of straight people go to Marthas. Which reminds me of something someone from work said. He was complaining about homosexuals 'forcing their sexuality on people' (you know, that thing that homophobes always claim but which never happens) and as an example he told how his mate had gone to Marthas, a local gay bar, as it was the only place open that would let him in without ID, and soon after entering he had his arse pinched by another guy. Apparently he made it clear in no uncertain terms that he was very straight and was not cool with having himself manhandled. Despite this his arse was pinched again, by the same guy, and he decided he'd better leave before he lost his temper and got in a fight. My colleague was completely supportive of his mate's attitude, but all I could say was what did he expect, he was in a frigging gay bar! Swimmy
I know, but my point to him was that a man shouldn't go into a gay bar if he's got a problem with being flirted with by other men. I expect the guy who did the arse-pinching thought the very same thing and was making a point of it (or just getting an easy laugh ). HorseboX
To be fair, if a guy in a normal nightclub kept on pinching a girls arse he'd get shot out and he could hardly use the excuse of "well what did she expect?" could he?
