Good stuff Kowalski :P

I've gone and got a poxy injury. Feck feck feck.

Me too, well my injury hasn't cleared up. Argh. What has gone wrong for you?

I will get around the course, but hopes for a sub 4 have gone up in smoke. It is very disappointing :P

I know it will still be a fun day though.

Good luck on Sunday y'all - I take it a little cooler than current would be nice?

Definitely, last year I had to travel back to Cornwall straight away afterwards with a mixture of sunstroke and exhaustion, it was not good times! Especially as they announced two minutes after leaving Paddington that the buffet car wasn't going to open for the whole journey. I was one mad tired man!

Right, I'm off.

Forecast is not looking good for Sunday (unless you're spectating!) so will be adjusting pace accordingly.

Good luck to all those taking part.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Have just arrived in London, trying to ignore the throbbing in my knee... Hope it goes really well for you, and anyone else reading who is doing it. I am scared of my knee getting worse but also very excited now!!!

Always bewilders me how anyone can think that anyone wants to watch something like the London Marathon or the Great North Run on TV. Its exactly the same f**king thing for 3 or 4 hours

Nah, the Great North Run takes half the time :P

Looks like good running weather for London, overcast with a bit of rain.

It was quite motivating watching it today. In four week's time I'll be doing my first marathon.

There's a real ale tent at the end of the Edinburgh Marathon. Helluva long way to run for a pint of real ale though but I'll try my best!

Beats llcoolphil's 9.4 miles that he quoted somewhere the other day :P

I had a friend running who is pretty serious about it (2hr46) and he said the conditions weren't very good. Too humid, wasn't very good for breathing. I was down on the embankment watching and it was pretty warm around lunch. Great atmosphere though

Well that's that done! On the train back to Cornwall now. My knee went at mile 4 so struggled around with a time of 04:48:34 which considering I thought I was going to have to stop before mile 5 I am ok with. Hope everyone else got on ok. Was pretty humid wasn't it!

Well done! Sounds like a great effort if your knee was hurting from mile 4!

Quite interesting looking for celebrities.

Steve Rider and Lorraine Kelly both around 6 hours 13.

Well done both of you. Themuel - that's a big fear of mine, as my knees are not in the best of shape. Sounds like you really dug in. :P

Like Kowalski said, it definitely brought everything into focus yesterday. I can't wait to get on with it now, despite the knee injuries. Less than 4 weeks to go!

Sore

Well done!! You happy with that? there has been alot of press saying it was perfect running conditions but I thought it was really humid, how about you?

I was up all night with a temperature, my body was clearly unhappy with me for putting it through that, getting better now though so might actually get some sleep!

Well done to those that took part in marathon. Hope someone can give me some advice.

:P I would like to enter next year and realise it's difficult to get a place. I'll enter the ballot if I can. How difficult is it to enter the ballot? Is it difficult to get on the web site when the ballot opens? Anyone know what time it opens (I know it's 4th May) Anyone had a charity place? Any advice on that side of things?
