I prefer Ashes to Ashes to Let's Dance (even though SRV rocks) but agree that Under Pressure is better than either.

someone asked me to find out what was no.1 on 7th march 1987. it was ben e.king, stand by me. now, when i put 12th march 1987 into the wee machine to tell me no.1 on my birthday, it says it's boy george - everything i own. however wiki says that this didn't reach no.1 til 14th march.

so surely no.1 when i was born was actually stand by me?

Hmmmm, but 14th March 1987 is a Saturday. It must have been either the 8th or 15th, which are both Sundays.

well then i'm confused. boy george 'reached' number one on march 14th. i've just gone to the song page, and it said it was number one on march 10th. neither of which are sundays.

maybe it means it ended it's run on march 14th. boo!

*edit* yeah just checked, black eyed peas apparently reached number one on december 18th 2010 which we haven't had yet. and christmas number one will be decided on december 19th. rubbish, boy george is still my birthday number one. how depressing!
