Just thought i'd bring this thread back to the top whilst thinking of the manchester meet, thinking football type business could be discussed over breakfast at a leisurely hour on the saturday morning.

At the Efestivals meet this year a few of us (fuelled by drink) attempted to set up a England v Scotland footie game. For one reason or another, mainly a lack of ball, this never happened. So for next year we decided to try and organise it properly with a cup and everything. Next year we are planning an England v Rest of the World game...or whoever turns up.

We plan to play the game about an hour before the Wednesday Efestivals meet so we can celebrate/commiserate after the game. If anyone is interested let us know and which team you'd rather play for and I'll add you to the list. We need plenty of names because people may be injured, busy or just not turn up like the Jocks last year.

We will also try and make some money for one of the festival charities. So there will also be a voluntary contribution to Wateraid of as little or as much as you likeand a compulsary contribution towards cider after the game!

Is the Pyramid Field ok for footie? Would we get a pitch laid out? Whats the story with goals?

Last thing we want is people wandering across the pitch.

As it stands, we should be ok for it on the wed, we obviously cant get right down infront of the pyramid, because of the fencing, but i am thinking of getting those little markers to lay out the pitch, then maybe blowup goals, or poles or something, not entirly decided yet, but more will become clear after we have all had a good brainstorm about it. But that is waht im thinking as of just now, I think if we have enough people watching it will be a good marker for the pitch aswell, it should be obvious what is going on, and that may help, but if people wander through, they wander through, all just part of the fun i guess
