At the 2008 Efestivals meet a few of us (fuelled by drink) attempted to set up a England v Scotland footie game. For one reason or another, mainly a lack of ball, this never happened. So for 2009 we decided to try and organise it properly with a cup and everything. So we are planning an England v Rest of the World game...or whoever turns up.

This is the cup.

There will be prematch entertainment with Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs doing a 40 minute set starting at 3pm and the game kicking off at 4pm on Wednesday 24th, which will be about an hour before the Efestivals meet at the Cider bus so we can celebrate/commiserate after the game.

The official charity for the game is Wateraid so players, spectators can donate either online at Wateraid or at the game, where Wateraid volunteers will be on hand to collect donations.

Also the Q Glastonbury review will be doing a spread on the game so there will be people from the magazine there to take photos, interview people and take part in the game.

Chaz, thanks for putting the Wateraid leaflet on here (I should really know how to do it myself!) - that is a leaflet that Wateraid sent me which they are sending out to their volunteers/employees to drum up support.

If anyone wants to keep one they need to pay £10 to Wateraid.

There is going to be 20 tops for each team and the best place to donate is http://www.justgiving.com/glastoworldcup - the first 20 people from each team who donate £10 or more who leave their username will get to keep a T shirt after the game.

i know, the only problem im thinking of now is if its a big draw, and we are doing it on the flat bit at the bottom - Steards/police may think we are blocking a through way?
