SOS Masterticket - HELP!

SCAM SCAM SCAM

Went down there after work and pulled into main entrance, was waiting with about 15 other cars. All had instructions for after 6, 6.15 came and one person got through, said he would be there at 6.30. No show and at 6.55 a steward came over and directed us to another entrance, few more cars here and no sign of them.

They have ripped us all off, slowly we all left just got home now and I am livid. Dont know what to do really, will chase the money from my credit card people and go down tomorrow to deal with a tout.

I would advise anybody in the same boat to do the same, make sure you get the tout to come to the exchange with you for the wrist band, there are some good fakes out there but all tickets are being barcode read this year so be careful.

I feel so sh*t, would not mind if I knew it was a scam on monday or even yesterday as I could have found another ticket. But spoke with the guy everyday including today and was reassured. Can only think they kept it going till the last minute to clear as much money before dissapearing.

All the other gigs on the site are probably there to "flesh it out" and to increase the perception of a legit site. It is a LOT of money, I paid £180, times that by 500 and you have 90 grand. Thats without the other tickets.

Oh well, Karma will get them eventually. If anybody knows a name or anything associated with them let me have it. I have some friends who can track them.

benpmitchell@hotmail.com contact me there.

Hope everyone has a good festival no matter what.

Ben

Can people let me know how they get on with getting their money back and stuff. I have bought tickets of SOS for coldplay in December - bought the tickets in May. Just read all these posts about them - and I'm a bit unsure what to do now, I've called Halifax and they said I need to put everything in writing to them, so I will do that - is that all I can do? Will I get my money back before the event? or will it be after?

Did anyone receive the email from SOS Masterticket saying that they couldn't supply our v festival tickets??!?!

I've been trying to call them all morning and people pick up the phone and hang up. Now I've called and am told that they no longer operate on that number!!!

I've just spoken to a friend who's already arrived at V Fest and has said that she's apoken to at least 100 people who bought tickets from SOS and have all been scammed out of their tickets!!!

Hi

I, like everyone else, have been duped by these scammy scum bags for my Saturday tickets.

Have got sunday tickets so just in case you are going to try and buy tickets off touts, I have had a look at my valid ticket and think the main thing to look out for is a metallic, silver 3D like motif that spans the tear off strip and the remainder of the ticket. The motif has VFestival written on it and VERITAS printed several times in very small capital letters. The tear off strip has a bar code, the name of the person that bought the ticket, a ticket number and a reference number. The remainder of the ticket has a salmon coloured box that covers about a quarter of the ticket. This also has the bar code, ticket no & ref no. Everything else that's on the ticket looks pretty standard apart from the day of the ticket (e.g. Sunday Ticket) which is in metallic silver writing similar to the motif.

Sounds risky buying bar coded tickets from a tout but if you decide to give it a go I hope that helps.

Good luck !!!

Stuff like this f**Ks me off.

The credit card companies must take most of the blame for giving them credit card facilities.

If the banks took away their credit and debit card facilities they would be severly hampered.

I hope the banks have to pay a fortune back to customers !

i have done more research into this whole scam!! sos master ticket have 2 addresses:

*the one in london that some1 stated earlier

*and another one in spain which was attached to the email regarding my "refund" for my tickets!! (check it)

also i tried to the other "companies" that are in the same building as sos master ticket and have been hung up on or it just continued to ring... i am fuming!!! i brought my tickets in March this year and have been looking forward to V since!!!

I would recommend people to do the following:

* i have contacted my local police station and reported the company and the scam to them

* i have then contacted WATCHDOG... DO IT!!! the more people we get complain about them the more will be done!!!

* i have also contacted RIP OFF, TIP OFF... 08454040506.. PLEASE DO IT!!! they had heard of the address already (spanish one) and are looking into it!!

i have also been told that under section 75 our credit card companies are liable to give us a refund...

I suggest everyone and anyone does the same and takes the same drastic measures to make sure these b*stards go down!!!

If the likes of Barclays etc have to cough up a £1m or so in refunds , then the next person to set up a business as

" Ticket Agency " - might get told to f**k off when asking for card facilities.

Then if the only option was to send em cash in an envelope for tickets they might not sell so many.

I wonder whether they're the same bast*rds that ran londonticketmarket.com that also screwed loads of people before insolvency in Feb 08 .............. is it a coincidence that SOS was formed in Mar 08 ?!?!

If anyone's got the time and wants to follow that up, look at http://www.safeconcerts.com/newsitem.asp?nurn=963

I'm going to contact WATCHDOG and RIP OFF, TIP OFF too !!!!

Thanks for the tip about Section 75

My 16 year old son has bought a ticket for Reading festival off this company. Tried uk phone numbers today all unobtainable. I have done a bit of research. The website is still selling tickets. It is possible to complain to the domain hosts about the illegal action of this company, they will shut the site down so they can't rip anyone else off.

The domain hosts are www.fasthosts.co.uk - I called them today and they said people should send emails detailing what has happened to abuse@fasthosts.co.uk. Do this & they have said they will shut down the web site

I feel really sorry for anyone who has been ripped off by this company my poor son is gutted. We need to stop this w*****s from doing it to anyone else :)

I feel for all of you. I spent money on a ticket that now i know for sure doesn't exist. Luckily i didn't travel up to Weston Park tho' i really would have liked to see the Verve, it was never going to happen. Worse, i paid with debit card and when i printed off my 'confirmation' only then did i spot the dodgy spanish address.

I immediately rang the bank and told i them i suspected fraud. They told me that because i'd paid by debit card if it was fraud my credit rating would suffer so now i'm between a rock and a hard place. I'm going to ring and report this to them in the next hour but if anyone has any advice on my rights please post.

Also, i know i've been stupid and impulsive but comments i've seen on the 'LETS BRING DOWN SOS MASTERTICKET' thread telling people who have suffered this fate that they are stupid for being duped are not welcome. I know i've been stupid.

Constructive criticism yes but no insults please.

Myself and others who have been robbed are not the criminals: F**king SOS MASTERTICKET are. They may have been clever but they're not in the right. Bunch of Sh*ts.

Again, if anyone can give advice on where i stand with making a debit card payment and the best way to proceed with reporting this to my bank without getting blacklisted with bad credit, please post.

We need to work together on this to make sure this doesn't happen to others.

I've learnt a harsh lesson. :)

I think someone at your bank has given you incorrect information.

You CAN NOT get blacklisted for been defrauded.

I suspect that you talked to an inexperienced member of stall in some call centre.

Does your debit card have the Visa logo on it? If it does then you have extra protection.

Many banks will now refund debit card holders in such cases of fraud.

They do it on a case by case bases. But you must persist with them and say you wish to do a chargeback.

Stand your ground with them and DO NOT let them fob you off.

I did a chargeback with an ebay seller earlier in the year for some Foo Fighters tickets that arrived after the concert date.

They said it wasn't their fault, it was the Royal mails. They just sent them too late.

When they refused to refund.

I used an abbey Debit Card with the Visa logo on it and the Abbey refunded me in full as the goods were not fit for the purpose. i.e the tickets arrived late.

They have same policy for "goods not received" which is your case.

I feel gutted for all the people on here that look like have been ripped off. A bit of advice hopefully taken the right way from somebody who used to be in the industry... There's nothing wrong with buying from secondary agencies necessarily - you just need to make sure you're buying from the right one. I've bought nearly every ticket I've had in the last 4 years from a 'tout' and not had a single problem. The thing is I can tell you having been in the business is there's 2 kinds of touts - one's that are out to take as much money as possible at whatever consequence, and actually a much larger percentage with a real 'code' of ethics who really pride themselves in never letting a client down. SO what I would say is, next time do your research - very important - who are you buying from? How long have they been around? Look for bad reports on the internet. Phone them up and talk to them. Do they have an office you can you come in and pay... or pick the tickets up... ie will they meet you or are they too worried to see you in person? Are they selling too cheap... it's obviously tempting but should ring alarm bells. There are agents who have been around for many years - double 8 for example - they may not be the cheapest but trade on their reputation. My friend who's been in the industry 20 years has just started Simply Click - I have known him in the past to go half way across the country to make sure someone has their ticket. There are good guys out there, in fact plenty, unfortunately the bad one's are sometimes easier to find and advertise the cheapest prices because they can - it's easy to sell something cheap when it's going to be 100% profit...! :)
