DO YOU WORK FOR THIS GUY....

DON'T GIVE HIM ANYMORE OF YOUR INFORMATION AS HE IS A SCAM AND CON ARTIST AND HAS TAKEN MILLIONS FROM PEOPLE. THE NEWS HAS EVEN BROADCAST THIS. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HIM ANYMORE OF YOUR INFORMATION AS HE WILL JUST CONTINUE TO TAKE TAKE TAKE. LEARN FROM THE MISTAKE WE ALL MADE BUT DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN AND GIVE HIM MORE INFORMATION DO YOU REALLY THINK HE IS GOING TO REFUND YOU WHEN HIS COMPANY NO LONGER EXISTS!!!

I'm new to this guys but had to join to try and stop you making an even bigger mistake. I'm in the same boat and have lost £600 on Reading tickets but you have to take it on the chin, call yourself a fool for doing it and get your money back through the bank. Harsh lessons leanrt for all of us I think

And I'm trying to stop someone making a mistake again by giving out more information. He wants your iban for a reason and it's not for a refund. This guy is cleaning people out left right and centre so the best thing for people to do is cancelled anything with details relating to this transaction and watch your account to make sure he doesn't go back in (like he did to me - I got the first £300 back and he went in again for £600)

An IBAN number is the same as your account number which isn't a secret as every time you write a cheque you give this number out.

Call your bank and ask them for advice.

Personally I would give this guy the number, it's most likely your ONLY chance of ever receiving a refund if you didn't pay by credit card.

He won't be able to make a withdrawal. IBAN numbers are used in business all the time for making payments. Not withdrawals.

thanks but I am dubious! the bank could not 100% confirm that I would be safe giving these details. I paid on credit card so they should sort this out for me and I dont understand why SOS cannot credit my credit card. So I have emailed them asking for a cheaque or to refund my credit card. I Also commented that I dont understand why we are dealing in foreign IBAN numbers when their registered adress is meant to be here, in the UK. I am now more confused that ever after getting this email! Oh and I am still taking this up with my credit card company who are obligated to to sort this out including my outlay expenses (petrol, parking ect) under section 75 or summit!

I'm not sure what you can and cannot achieve with an IBAN number TBH but anyone who's been asked to supply one should discuss the matter in detail with their Bank before responding. Technically, it's just for sending funds and is used to effectively route the money from any Bank just about anywhere to a specific A/C at a specific Bank in a specific Country. It's basically made up of your sort code and your A/C number (both as printed on your cheques) plus a code to say UK etc. It is however perhaps possible that the info could be misused so peeps are right to be concerned about supplying more info to known scammers so FFS, DISCUSS WITH YOUR BANK FIRST. It may be perfectly OK it may not, only they can advise you accordingly. However, it is ONLY of any possible relevance if you lost money by cheque or debit card AND the bank has already refused to help. It is completely irrelevant if you paid or otherwise lost money via your credit card IMO.

If you paid (or were otherwise relieved of do$h) via your credit card then I would suggest not responding to anything from SOSTM at all and not even mentioning to anyone that they have contacted you either - particularly not to your credit card company. Just pursue a claim for fraud and/or non-delivery directly with the credit card company. The credit card company is EQUALLY LIABLE for your loss and it's you that has the choice who you claim against. As far as they're concerned, you've received no refund, no goods and no communications from SOSMT so are claiming against them. Don't get any more involved with SOSMT than you absolutely have to just in case and definitely not without taking professional advice first. Whilst they could possibly be trying hard to put things right, they could equally be trying to get another pocketful of your do$h as well.

If you are in any doubt as to what you should be doing and who you should be dealing with to try and get your do$h returned, you should be discussing this with your Bank or credit card company first and then Trading Standards, ConsumerDirect, Citizens Advice or any other appropriate organisation or legal advisor if necessary. The situation with credit cards companies is pretty simple - it's THEIR problem - but in all other cases, do yourself a big favour and get the right advice from the right people because you really don't want to make matters any worse than they are already do you.

Google appear not to accept his ads anymore, if they did then he sure as hell would be using Google ads as this is the only way to attract business for ticket websites.

I'm pretty d@mn certain that you can add www.vfestival.net to the above "DO NOT USE OR YOU RISK GETTING RIPPED OFF" list as well.

Unfortunately, whilst Google may well have dropped the ads, yahoo (maybe) and overture (definitely) have picked up where google left off. Ads are appearing all over the place as "sponsored links" for several of the above sites

Some peeps have recently bought Oasis tix from bookmetickets.com and immediately got the "collect at the venue" line after purchase confirmation was received despite the events being around 2 months away  Make your own minds up of course ... but do also bare in mind that the address is in the USA, there is no phone number, the site is based in Hungary and you could get charged in Hungarian Forints. Does that *really* sound like the sort of company you would trust without question ? Nope, thought not !!

Great,

I am one of the many coned too by SOS Masterticket. I purchased the ticket for Madonna in Wembley on 11th Sep on 1st July.

2 weeks later e-mailed and phoned them asking : Where is my ticket? They reassured me I'll get one 4 weeks before the event.

3 days ago I had an epiphany that it is rather 2 weeks to the event and still-no tickets. Was trying to phone them- phone and fax line cut off, website does not exist anymore. To make matters worse on my credit card I had paid for the ticket appeared 2 fraud transactions (internet poker!). The police is not interested in that (was trying to report it)-they say it's a civil matter.Probably I will get my money refunded by a credit card company.

I paid 467£ for Madonna and poker transactions were more than 300£. Lovely.

Next time I will stick up to Ticketmaster or Seetickets.

All the best

I am one of the many people ripped off by sos mastertickets, I went down to weston park not knowing and was horrified when the tail unfolded. I was promised via e-mail from sos mastertickets that I would recieve full payment back for the tickets and the cost of travel would be looked at individually. I have not recieved any money, so I have joined this forum to hopefully round up people in the same situation. If we stand in numbers then some legal action can take place my be even watch dog. I would just be happy to see these people suffer as we all have, I log on again in a few days and hope to see your coments and ideas.

regards

Taft

Hi I have just read this on another forum, seems like a good idea to write to this MP if you would like these ticket sellars regulated properly - the more people write, the better chance there is for the law to be changed. It was terrible walking away from the venue as the bands started up and I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. So if you have the time write to this MP or why not start a petition. -:

As you may know, the UK government has recently conducted a review of the issue of ticket touting but concluded that the market should apply self-regulation to protect the public. If you feel strongly about what has happened today you may also want to write to the Secretary of State for Media, Culture and Sport at the following address:

Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP

Secretary of State

Department of Culture Media and Sport

2-4 Cockspur Street

London
