Vetiver are also playing Green Man in August so hopefully EOTR is a possibility too.Hope so anyway don't get much oppurtunity to see them.

The other band to mention in the same breath as Vetiver and Devendra are The Espers.Love that band but never seen them live and not heard much from them for ages(unless i've missed something?).

Just noticed that Vetiver are playing Brighton on the Friday of EOTR(BOLLOCKS!!),but if that means they are playing EOTR on the Saturday or Sunday then all will be well!

Tori Amos just announced four uk gigs ending on September 10th. And then playing in the Netherlands on the 17th.

Possibly more likely as a special guest at bestival....but would be intriguing methinks!

Never heard of them before, but on the strength of the first couple of listens to their MySpace they sound very EOTR-friendly.

Thanks...just had a listen...good stuff...really like We Like to Dance and Young People All Together...very atmospheric (I love Kyte and there are some similarities)...will definitely try to get to see them...do you know what stage they are on? I am thinking early on Big Top(?)...sound is probably too big for The Bimble (although would be pretty cool in there )...unless they are part of The Local lineup of course.

Read on an Eels forum that someone heard they would be touring in Sep. If they are pencilled in for EOTR I guess the announcement has to wait until the tour is announced.

Probably getting my hopes up too much but that all seems to fit into place nicely

I was thinking about going to EOTR this year but the line up for The Green man festi is a lot better. Its the same price for a full weekend ticket and my kids can go for free. Ticking the boxes.

Suppose there's still time for eotr to impress though....................

They announced the unsigned band winners earlier, seeing as it doesn't appear to be proper story-worthy: Bear Driver, Esben and the Witch, The Hand, Holly Throsby, Huw M, Jess Elva, Soy Un Caballo, Stars of Sunday League and The Tenebrous Liar.

Green Man does indeed look awesome, as it always does. To be fair though - it does have twice the capacity of EOTR, so I always expect it to have slightly more "big" names than our beloved little Dorset shindig.
