Steve Earle has self-confirmed for the Sunday. I'm wondering what the significance is of having Neko Case and Earle in the same font as Fleet Foxes and EITS on the official site.

Pretty much, yeah, but that suggests there's a second high profile name to be announced. Could be they're Big Top headliners if we assume Brakes are being moved back to the main stage, but then you'd think Okkervil River would be Big Top or second headliner worthy.

Just got some new CDs through the post and I have to say that I am really impressed with Loney, Dear's new sound and that Spokes have now become one of my "Must Sees"...the more I look the more I like

I see that tUnE-YaRdS are supporting Dirty Projectors at The Scala on 13th September. Wonder if they'll show up for EotR as well. Not a bad little band the ol' tUnE-YaRdS, despite their stupid name.

So, it wont be Grizzly Bear (they're here in November and in NY in September), nor MMJ - they are 'on hiatus' as they call it for the rest of 2009. So here's who I want - Monsters of Folk...... the holy trinity......literally, something for everyone. Heaven. It would make Larmer Gardens into some kind of Eden. Please make it so.

Jeff Lewis if you please! Low were equally lovely. Off the top of my head the black keys,comet gain, the fall, band of horses, mountain goats, akron/family, bowerbirds. Screw it pretty much any band from last year.

P.S The envelopes make lovely indie pop. Creamy.

I just got "tweeted" by EOTR saying that the headliner is still TBC. So don't be holding out for an announcement on them/him/her this week, I guess.

As others have said though, we're probably getting so bogged down in who the headliner will be, we're forgetting what a fantastic bill EOTR have already put together. It good be piggin' Black Lace and we'll still be having a great time.

So I'm guessing these bands have the longest sets and that Neko Case might not be a supporting a headliner after all.
