airboy paul
I second The Divine Comedy. And Eels would make a great headline band.
William of Walworth
Here's something a bit leftfield -- Michelle Shocked. I saw her at Rhythm Festival, and she was fresh and full of life, the old classics came over really well. Was listening to Short Sharp Shocked this morning as well, and additionally to having an amazing voice and some great songs, she's a pretty damned good guitarist -- she's been in National Picking Championships in the U.S. and everything. Sipperana
Oh well, if you're happy to have musicians acting like complete twats and being utterly braindead, coked up and offensive to boot then fine ... (Conor Oberst, not Low -- the Low guy sounds like he had genuine problems). Edited September 25, 2008 by Sipperana
William of Walworth
No worries man, I like your Hayseed Dixie and Ukranians ideas, seen em both before several times and they're Both still keeping on and both on the circuit at times
DragKnuckles
...also try to get My Brightest Diamond back in '09. Just listening to her new album for the first time and it is great...early to mid on the Garden stage I reckon (enough material now)...we could all rock out, sway blissfully and be strangely scared all at the same time! And is that the only time that you can use two consecutive the's without referring to Matt Johnson?

SweepingTheNation
Steve Lamacq on Radio 2 in a roundabout way gave us the first name for this year, which they've confirmed themselves - the band he calls potentially this year's Fleet Foxes, The Low Anthem.
