Petewasbristol
Talking about the setlist, I read an interview with one of the E street members and he said this about the last tour: Someone told me, "Yeah, you played over 160 songs." I don't even keep track. I'm so busy trying to keep my head above water day by day. And it was fun! It was challenging and you learn a lot of tracks, how to make that work in a 10-piece band like that because at some pint you just can't be prepared for audibles. When he calls a song you haven't done in 13 years and you're trying to... Forget how it goes, it's "What instrument do I play?" It makes for a very challenging night for us, in addition to the audience.
Homer
Cheers everyone for the recommendations, I've got about 25 odd from the recommendations (plus Born in the USA - obviosuly) so that should be enough to digest for now. My taste doesn't usually extend to the rockier side of things but I like a Pyramid based singalong as much as the next man so all good! parsonjack
I believe that they're due to be announced next week. However it's very possible that Glastonbury won't be included in what's announced.

Limpet
I think (hope) we are misunderstanding Neil's (E-Festivals) message. What I think he saying is the Glastonbury won't be announced YET as part of the UK Tour not that it won't happen at all. Any comment Neil? benisright
Yeah the major nightmare would be if he played a date in scotland, a date in wales and hyde park. But no glasto...that would be very annoying. As hyde park would clash with glastonbury and id have no chance.

eFestivals
Bruce has other UK dates to sell. Bruce will be doing Glasto on the cheap. Therefore the other dates are very likely to have priority. It's very often the case that, in these circumstances, the promoter of the "full paying" dates has an amount of time to sell those dates before a Glasto date is announced. (It was different with Jay-Z last year. He'd originally agreed to play just Glasto. The other dates got booked in long after, off the back of him being in the UK for just Glasto)) I'm pretty sure that the coming announcement of Bruce's UK dates will be made by the promoter of those dates and not "Bruce's people". And so what will be announced will be the dates that promoter promoting which of course doesn't include Glasto. I'd expect those dates to have at least a week's exclusivity in most circumstances, tho I guess it's possible because Glasto is near enough sold out that Glasto might get announced at the same time. De Coverley
A friend of mine told me that a certain bearded person associated with the Glastonbury festival is a client of his company and he was in their office this week. When he spoke to him apparently he said (in a West Country accent) Springsteen was a definite and Blur were a probable. Obviously there's no real evidence for this but it is scientfic fact. Don't lynch me if it's not true please.

HastingsBoy
no misunderstanding...i just meant that if the uk dates are announced with no mention of Glasto the paranoia is going to go stratospheric....
Johan cruyff
I've just got my ticket for Dublin I don't mean to show off but I just got the urge to tell as many people as possible. Got my flight tickets last Tuesday, arrive in Dublin on Friday so fingers crossed he'll play the friday as well? Gonna have to rob a bank if the uk dates are announced this month. ferraristu
Think I posted before that we have cancelled a weekend at Silverstone for Glastonbury. Huge Bruce fan!!!!!!!. Booked tickets on the back of the rumours But my attitude is genuinely - If he plays - f***ing ace. If he doesn't - I will have a f***ing ace weekend anyway but will have to pay over the odds on Ebay to get to RDS Arena tickets
