Now that would be a bit special.(Forgive the pun)

Given that Squeeze/The Stranglers played this year there is a chance of a 'comeback' band making an appearance although all the talk is Glasto 09 being a festival of comebacks so my money would be on Glasto getting Terry & Co..

(Which I don't mind as I'm off to Glasto as well as V)

...reformed with the original line-up (except for Jerry Dammers) for a tour next year. Big enough for a decent slot?? JJB or Channel 4 2nd headliners maybe?? ''Message To You Rudy'', ''Too Much Too Young''...I won't even mention ''Ghost Town''...oops...

Bit of a Specials fan here. Doubt very much that they would play V. If they do any big festivals this year it'll be Glasto, T, and Reading/Leeds. Covers all the bases. They wont want be tied playing V. I'd expect them to do a couple of small ones as well. Bestival, The Wickerman, places like that.

It was never about money with The Specials, by the time money was split between them all they never realy made that much considering they were the most popular band in the UK around 1978-79. So V could throw money at them and they'd still say no. I would hate it for them to play a main stage and get a 3/4 hour slot, go see them in a hall. If they're anything like they used to be live, they'll put all modern day bands to shame.

Would that not depend on Reading/Leeds thou? If they tied them up then no V. Far more likely for those festivals than V, more the type of band for Reading/Leeds than V. I could be wrong but realy doubt they would entertain V.

When they used to do festivals it was smaller European ones. They played where they were appreciated and could have a good time. Far more likely at the other festivals I've mentioned.

Or maybe they've got good support lined up?

And remember there's far more members looking for equal shares than with your average band, even without JD. They're all not going to do it for nothing. Money's never been a high priority, but like all bands nowadays who reform they'll not go into debt just to play.

They're playing main stage

V had the main stage line up as this

The Killers

Razorlight

The Specials

Lily Allen

The Script

Taylor Swift

Seasick Steve

but now it looks like this

The Killers

Razorlight

Lily Allen

The Script

Seasick Steve

The Specials

I can't see them playing below Seasick so Im guessing the top one is right, 3rd main stage around 6pm until 7pm
