scorp
Leif Bodnarchuk [guitar technician]: What have the highlights been for you? The first show, Fredericton was a mind blower - the initial audience reaction to Leonard’s presence on stage was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a genuinely enthusiastic reception. I’ve see kids go wild, but this older audience was incredible. Over on stage left, we were stunned! I don’t think I’ve seen a stage entrance reception that rivals it. The Dublin crowd are my personal running favourite; they sang the loudest and had the most fun of that leg. And the crowd in Glastonbury was overwhelming. It was a surreal experience. Call me crazy, but even I got a little emotional! [that is from... http://1heckofaguy.com/2008/11/18/uncut-le...oop-interviews/ ...that link also has interviews with Sharon Robinson, the Webb sisters and others on tour with Leonard] Meanwhile, Lenny's Hallelujah clip at Glasto is almost on 100,000 hits: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_tPQQLMXmQ4 Hallelujah maybe heading for the xmas no. 1 via an X Factor winner, but maybe Anthem is a better song of Cohen's? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BvcX5RMBwbk an extended 9 minute version of it is here at the big chill: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8XX5Tpv9P9s
dannypal
leonard cohen at glasto was the best thing ever - it was worth the ticket price alone to see him. Everything was right for his performance, it didnt rain, the sun was going down and he owned the crowd

scorp
I am still gutted I missed him I picture how beautiful it must of been, I've shunned all videos because it would only upset me. I would not have been as bothered if I seen someone good but I was just stood in a pit of piss heads jumping around to an acoustic Carl Barat, worlds apart I imagine still best weekend of my life! paddieu
Kerplunk...good question :-) lemme see, he'd have been onstage abt 40 mins [late on ?] Or have I got that wrong ? On the other hand yor pic looks much darker, further into the sunset than i experienced down the front... It only seemed to get that dark and sunsetty around Anthem, near the end.... Also have to factor in your own reasons for taking that pic - ie a particular song that moved you [or maybe just the sky ?!] [or the drurrrgs..not that I am implying, mind...] So..... depending on which factor it is..hmmmmm... So Long Marianne.... ??
paddieu
Come to that - you have any more pics of that set ? wud be great to have a line of sunsetty changes on a wall to gaze at and smile. One regret of being so close was having to miss this view. Could you see the Tor at all up there ?
