Based on other line-ups...

Just spent a lunch hour trawling through bands that have either been already announced or are strongly rumoured to be playing at other festivals/gigs from June onwards (and would therefore assume would still be doing the circuit in August) and came up with the following-.

Elbow/Jools Holland/KOL/Ting Tings/The Enemy/Simple Minds/Basement Jaxx/Orbital/Billy Bragg/McFly/Blur/Kaisers/Neil Young/Kanye West/Madness/The Coral/The Specials/Depeche Mode/Oasis/Iggy Pop/Wonder Stuff/Franz Ferdinand/Paul Weller/AC DC...and, God help us...Status Quo.

Could easily see the Wonder Stuff, Basement Jaxx, Madness, Elbow & Paul Weller being there...but fingers crossed for a few more! (except for McFly & The Quo!)

Dunno about Paul Weller, he didn't get very well received a couple of years back did he?

Paul Weller will probably take the ridiculasly low slot in the jjb for big bands.

QOTSA were the most disappointing band at Leeds last year, we were really looking forward to them & they were extremely average. Maybe just an off day?

Simple Minds will not be playing V they are concentrating on mainland europe this year & their massive Edinburgh gig. Wish they where playing V.

Simple Minds, Basement Jaxx, Neil Young, Madness, The Coral, Depeche Mode, Oasis, Iggy Pop, Paul Weller, AC DC...and, God help me...Status Quo!!! lol
