First Announcements soon??......

Just been going back through old threads from previous years (yes, im very bored/sad/have nothing else better to do). Neil posted that he knew the headlienrs in 2007 correctly on January 26th. First announcement in 2008 was around February 6th.

Does this mean we should have an annoucnement in the next 3-4 weeks??!?

I just got really excited because normally there is some idea of who the headliners are going to be, but for once i have absolutely no idea at all!!!

Just read Slipknot are playing Rock AM ring.

Possibly they have chosen headlining Download over Reading/Leeds??

Slipknot (really can`t see them turning down a headline position)

RATM special guest Prodigy (Just because I would like this a lot)

Really hard one this year.Surely not Metallica again much as I like them.

What about Ozzy?Just for a big outsider who has not headlined solo and would hopefully bring Rob Zombie with him?

Would love to see Alice Cooper on the bill special guest perhaps?

Think I might be making my first trip to Download this year especially if NIN, Slipknot and Metallica are playing and I hope for Placebo and Billy Talent too as they're at Rock AM Ring

It's awesome that they are playing and im really pleased, but what scares me slightly is that they've just said they are heading to Donnington, are we to presume they are not headlining the Friday?!??!?
