It's been a few years since they played Glastonbury (2004?) on the Other Stage. (were great even with short set!)

Saw Justin Sullivan soloing in one of the smaller gig tents a year or two later and he was ace too.

I would love to NMA them play at this years Festival in some capacity . Any chance Micheal/Emily please ?

They are excellent live with a great back catalogue.

How they missed out being really big is beyond me as they have been making great music for years.

If you haven't heard of them I would definately recommend them

Anyone else out there like them to be at Glasto 2009 - or is it just me ?

My ex Wife was in the "Here comes the War" video. She was mad for them and I would agree they are a great live band. Rob the drummer died a few years back didn't he?

They were indeed awesome last time they played, would be great to see them, perhaps Avalon would be a good option as they would be quite high up the bill so get a decent set

Yeah sadly Rob passed away in 2004. But agree they would be a welcome addition for me anyway especially for the Thursday like the Levellers last year even though the Leftfield was packed I'd be there!!!

just read they've had another loss to the family...Tommy Tee (manager) died on the 23rd Dec last year.

Well they are still touring these days but are away a lot in Europe as they have a massive fan base over there.

You're right davemac. Even in the days when they were bigger here they were absolutely massive in germany. Saw them a couple of times over there and the atmosphere was immense

Funny you should mention NMA....

my eldest was saying the other day "why are there no bands from Bradford ?", so I was playing him some NMA

Absolutely! Have seen them play Glasto at least once (memory hazy) - possibly 2002? Anyway, definately underated and have been going since the year dot so well in line with the 'golden oldies' spirit of Eavis and the GFL booking team this year.
