And here the bridge is in its current incarnation! (which does not seem to differ from any previous one - but anyway)

The Alpha also seems to be pretty much finished already:

Facts that point towards an opening time around 2pm:

  • The Tripticket luxury coaches are guaranteed first entrance to the terrain and should arrive half 12/1ish. This is the earliest possible opening time for the gates and parking. The free buses start service at 2pm and will therefore be arriving half 2 and onwards.

  • Lowlandscafe is scheduled to open 2pm, so you'd think they will let at least some people in before or around 2pm.

  • There have been several years when I had my tent up long before high tea, so 2pm is definitely not extraordinary.

However:

  • There have been years where I had to pee in bottles because I had been getting pissed in the queue for hours until they finally decided at half 6 that maybe it would be a good idea to let people in.

Sorry, there is no electricity at the camp sites. There's a service on the festival grounds to charge your mobile but I recommend to bring a solar charger. The queues for both drop off and pick up can easily reach 30+ minutes and you're urged to pick up your phone again after an hour, so that's two hours of festival time wasted with a restriction on your movement.

Showers are separate and they are private cabins anyway. At least they were when I last showered at Lowlands but that's a few years ago. Some girls choose to shower with the guys because the queue is much shorter. Showers cost one munt (two quid).
