scudetto_boy
1) Pete Doherty 2005 (pretty awful) 2) Radiohead 1997 (dull & depressing) & 3) Oasis 2004 (plain old shit)

alanc
Kings Of Leon. Oasis (they just didn't care). Arctic Monkeys (good live band, wrong stage). White Stripes (great live band, wrong stage). Jay-Z (whatever anyone might've said). The Who (overrated one hit wonders ).

Dave F.
These weren't the last 3, but King & Marillion in the '80's were rubbish. Shakespeare's Sister. The last Oasis. I did a 3 song walkpast up around the track to get to Peel, & even in that short time couldn't work out why they'd bothered to turn up. Jay Z. Why does he have to shout so much? Arctic Monkeys. They just looked like lost little boys.
pinback
Oasis 2004, were very, very poor & lackluster.
Kyelo
I reckon Biffy Clyro. Now before I get a wave of abuse I do like them, they're pretty damn good but I really don't get the almost cult status they have. I know dozens of people who have seen them 20+ times, granted I stay in Glasgow but they are not as people have said to me 'the best band in years', 'the most experimental british band since Pink Floyd'. I kid you not! They are good, not that good. They are just like any other decent band about.

cran
It's very nice to defend bands whose performance was shite, saying that they normally put on a good show, but isn't that largely irrelevant? I think it's easy to be disappointed with acts on the main stages, all that anticipation ( and cider and other substances) can hype stuff up to beyond reasonable levels. That's why I try and see random stuff, less chance of it being underwhelming. Having said that, the Kooks were a pile of bollox weren't they? danbailey80
Every year there's always a few bands that the NME have got excited about, and then 6 months later everyone's barely remembers them...The Gossip last year were very high up the order....oh dear.. DiscoDolly
Fratellis..overated and undertalented The White Stripes...god knows i really really wanted to enjoy them but they bored me into the ground, pretentious twats!
tevaburger
having Skunk Anansie headline the pyramid in '99...in fact, being the last band to play the pyramid that century...was surely the closest thing to a "war crime" that ME has ever committed. Sam.
What's the point of this thread. Essentially it's asking you to slag off bands that are clearly popular.
ralph250
Skunk Anansie were a band I always wanted to see but never did. Thought they'd be amazing live. Am I wrong?
BobbyG
If the Arctic Monkeys or the Kings Of Leon split, who are two of my favorite bands, I would vow never to see them if they reformed, unless they made a really f**king good album in support.
