Can't see Def Leppard headlining Download and Korn definatly won't, think both will play though, and I agree Slipknot will be one of the headliners

this latest thing from punktastic [who I totally trust, they broke the Lost Prophets playing V thing last year and everyone thought it was bullshit, but they ended up being there] makes Reading look pretty damn good for headliners

No offense to efestivals, who are ussualy spot on with rumours, but this year neil has pretty much dismissed every rumour going whilst not offering any alternatives. I know he's only repeating the information he is given but I wouldn't be surprised if Punktastic are right.

Ive been a member here for about 300 years, and Neil knows his shit. I'd tend to believe him 99.9999% of the time when it comes to lineups.

Last time i checked, Kings of Leon were nailed on but might have pulled out (i cant see it), Arctic Monkeys were v likely, Green Day had pulled out and no replacement had been booked.

Tbh i never believe punktastic. There motto is usually "lets annouce 20 bands are playing and if 3 come up we've done ok". There way of rumoring Lock up headliners is do about 6 different posts claiming different headliners and if one comes up, then its a success.

nobody (not even Neil) knows exactly until the day of the announcement. We can make a lot of guesses but even Neil doesn't find out until the morning of such day, and then we find out 7:30 the same day

untill then its just hundreds of posts of guesswork

erm ..... if you care to check back on posts i've made here, it's been the tabloids following what I've said, and not the other way around. :angry:

I can only say what I get to hear, and what I have belief in.

I believe that Reading/Leeds has Arctic Monkeys as a headliner but do not know for 100% certain.

I believe that (as of about two weeks ago) there was one headliner slot still to be filled, and that they were near enough starting at square one to find someone to fill that slot, but do not know for 100% certain.

It might be the case that there's another headliner slot to be filled, as it might be the case that Kings of Leon aren't headlining after all. But I have limited sources for this, with limited info, and am far from certain that this is the case, tho it could be. I hope to have more info soon on this.
