I'll have a go at some guesses.....

The Verve, last years british festival headliners.

The Prodigy, unlikely as they are headlining others so FR may do away with the exclusive english headliner rule.

Sex Pistols, do nicely as the Sunday and legendary headliner.

Madness, new album and British.

And at what point did I say that he didn't?

Also i've already got my ticket so obviously would like to know who I will be seeing. Blately i'm willing to wait but all i was merely suggesting was that the other guy may have some information that Neil is yet to recieve. Sorry for posting.

difference is that late 2007 is about 4 months from the announcements, by my reckoning we about 8/9 weeks away. We (and Neil) tend to have a good incling by this time

I remember in late 2004 the 2005 headliner was going to be Eminem

I think in the next few weeks when the other festivals start to annouce bands and whittle it down, we should have a good guess at who the 3 headliners are.

Dont forget the NME issue where they "leek" all the headliners is released mid Feb, and in all fairness they are usually right with there headliners (if they do get the rest of the acts wrong *cough*hole*cough*)

[uNLIKELY]Right might sound a bit stupid but what do you reckon the chance of Glasto and Reading sharing a 4th headliner and by that i mean the Arctic Monkeys. It makes this prediction more realistic and means a KOL + AM night would please alot of people, they wouldnt be exclusive so they'd be cheaper especially if sharing with Glasto and would get to promote their album even more.

PLEASE

Metallica supported The Rolling Stones a few years ago in San Francisco, neither of these bands are in the same league as Metallica. I know Reading isn't exactly going to get that, but Arctic Monkeys are another band like the Strokes that will have their day and disappear. Unfortunately, the Strokes headlined, so Arctic Monkeys probably will too!
