Seems very unlikely that it would Glastonbury but could happen.

I'm not particularly keen on his music but would add to Glasto's diversity, what do other people think?

The whole diversity thing is being taken a bit to far. Arguably the genre Ne-Yo falls under has been well represented in the past and will continue to be done so.

Well his music is not exactly my cup of cha but of course he's welcome, there are plenty of stages at Glasto that the Indie-bores never get near where he'd fit right in - I caught a bit of Lupe Fiasco at Jazz World pre FLC last year and was well received. Now, let's go see what Noel Gallagher thinks...

ne yo is not hip hop or r n b, just cheesey bubble gum pop directed at teenage girls. He is a perfect representation of "chart music" of today and should stick to radio 1s party in the park, or channel 4s gig on the beach thing.

Ne-Yo just represents the bland homogonised RnB thats churned out by record labels these days. Bring back SWV, TLC or En-Vogue, perhaps some Luther (RIP), Alexander or George, some Soul II Soul, Young Disciples, Chimes, even early R.Kelly and pre-Bobby Whitney.

Ne Yo is terrible.

Kanye West would be brilliant though, I wasn't that up in arms about Jay Z but I can't understand why Eavis didn't go for Kanye in the first place. If you listen to that guy in interviews, the material he covers in his songs, even the music he promotes on his blog (he's put Bon Iver, Animal collective etc on there), then I'd say he's very much within the spirit of Glasto. Maybe next year.

....erm not really. Have you just tried to think of all the black artists you know and list them all? How could anyone put Whitney Houston (pre or post Bobby!) in the same kettle of fish as Soul II Soul?
