OK, I promised you we would be on sale by the end of the second week of February and I am glad to say that I am going to keep that promise to you the core Download Festival fans.

At 9am tomorrow morning (Thursday 5th February) we will be offering an exclusive opportunity for you, the 'Download Faithful' to obtain weekend tickets for £110 instead of the normal cost of £135. These tickets will ONLY be available until 11pm on Tuesday 10th February and the special offer relates to weekend arena tickets only. All other tickets and pre bookable facilities (camping, lockers, car parking etc) will be available but at the advertised rates. Tickets available at www.downloadfestival.co.uk

Monday 9th Feb - Download 2009 line up will be announced via our media partners so check the Download Website for further details and times. And this years colour is ............. to be revealed on Monday!!

Well I won't cus I'll be at work, but I have read it on the download site, but wasn't sure if it was up to date or last years prices

No-one really seems 100% sure as the guy on the download forums worded it so it seemed just weekend tickets are early bird prices only

I have been led to believe if you have a Natwest Advantage Blue account you can get 25% off the ticket price. Maximum 2 tickets. Gutted for me as I have Advantage Gold which is more expensive but I dont get cheap tickets. Needless to say I shall be waging war on Natwest tomorrow.

I'm a bit annoyed that one of those early bird + camping tickets *STILL* costs £150 when booking fee and postage are added, which is what I would've expected to have paid anyway!

Let's hope that it's a reasonable amount of bands. From all the rumours going around I reckon it will be a great lineup this year in general, but I think the headliners will fall well below the usual hype that involves AC/DC, Metallica and the like.
