i can't believe they are expecting people to shell out almost 160 quid on the basis of 4 bands ?!?!

i trust neil in that Alice will pay so I am gonna buy my ticket, but my mates who would buy theirs if Alice got confirmed and don't use the website are finding it hard to take my word when they have not been announced. then if they miss out on tickets, i'm not exactly gonna go on my own am i .

I seem to remember Download afew years ago announced there bands in a really odd way and announced three bands,one headliner and two support and put tickets onsale and people still bought tickets.

Personally seeing Metallica at Knebworth is something new and special so i will be buying my tickets straight away on Wednesday.There is somewhat of a leap of faith hoping that the bill will pan out to be great but Download hasn't excited me the past few years and i'm not happy with the rumours of Reading this year so Knebworth has really caught my imagination.

People are taking about the 'loyalty' of Download goers and the fact they will go there regardless but i think alot of people haven't thought of the loyalty of Metallica's fans.Regardless of their tour next month i'm sure a good 30,000 will buy tickets purely on Metallica's appearance and that's half the tickets gone.I'm sure that another 20,000 will buy as the bill get's stronger and people think it's 'worth the money' then you have 10,000 tickets you need to really market towards.

I'm pretty confident of 50,000 being sold and the event being called a success.All the kids saving up their pocket money and student allowance can go elsewhere if £150 is too expensive.

thats a good point, day tickets when they've confirmed lineup like download do please...

then i can get one if NIN play a day and not bother with the huge expense for the whole weekend

out of interest, do v do day tickets? just a thought seeing as v is closest in terms of set up (2 days with camping...)

I think it should be announced anyway. If they have day tickets and weekend tickets then they will know by sales for each day for the future of what the majority of people were interested in seeing as well.

been to v and reading and don't tink v is in the same class. not enough at download for me and unless linkin park headline reading next year which i aint taking the chance i'm guna go. then again if they headline reading next year i'll go too.

I've had enough of Download. This Sonisphere sounds good to me already so I'll be going this year to check it out. Better be a gooden!!!!!

One good thing this festival has got going for it is that it's in the school holidays - expect a festival full of teachers (we're not all bad though)

surely this means NIN at one of these sonisphere festivals. really hope it's the UK one.

just tried this on the spanish one just to see what happened by putting /prensa just like you did in the UK one, and the same thing happened, showed the NIN symbol.

Prodigy and Slipknot surely won't be though, Lamb Of God wasn't allowed to play Download cus they're doing this so there's no way either of those acts will be Sonisphere

from that I would say NIN at Knebworth, with prodigy playing the foreign sonispheres and not the UK (like slipknot) as they are both doing download...

Surely if its on the UK page though? With it clearly highlighting it being UK? Or am i just far too hopeful? For the money it costs id be assuming quite a lot of big names packed in.

find the word for "press" for each country's language and put /thewordforpress at the end of each link... and it will probably all come up showing NIN and prodigy logos no matter what country's link you use...

You can LITERALLY type in anything after the UK bit and it will come up with that page. I'm assuimg it's just a holding page for those logos for when they need them.
