Impressive anti-WBC rant by Dave F earlier, I share a lot of his reservations and criticisms. Dave F, if you're still about, was it back stage at JazzWorld that was taken over by the WBC? The choice of beer (and atmosphere) backstage there was definitely inferior in 2008 to how it was in 2007, as far as I remember ... </crew intalk  >

Yesterday I tried an ale i hadn't tasted before Adnams Reggata. It was most pleasent indeed, not a fantsatic ale, but very very good. I recomend it to anybody who happens to see it in a pub near them.

BUMP!

For anyone that is a discerning ale drinker. Join us at...

12 Noon Thursday

at The Red Flag

on the left just inside the Acoustic Field

No lists, no need to have your named confirmed, just turn up and say Hi :D

It will be a pre-drink drink, before moving down to the cider bus later for the main meet.

Hi folks, I am an ale-loving lady too. (Pints not halves!) Def agree with the Bimble Inn and Red Flag for ales last year - but has anyone noted this little announcement on the new 'Areas' pages of TOS - it seems there is a newcomer to Avalon for 2009:

"The Avalon Inn: Glastonbury’s first spit and sawdust, half timbered, old English pub. Real ale, cider or even a cup of mead served by a buxom wench with storytelling, musicians, magicians and wandering buskers."

I reluctantly share this info (I don't want everyone to drink all the ale after all) but it sounds like you may have to include this on the trail too??? :) xx

Ale line-up reference spotted:

Taskmaster burst the bionic zit-splitter

Breakneck speed we drown ten pints of bitter

We lean all day and some say that ain't productive

That depend upon the demons that you're stuck with

Cause right now, I see clearer than most

I sit here contending with this cheese on toast

I feel the pain of a third world famine

Segue, we count them blessings and keep jamming

Witness the fitness by the fantastic UK hiphop artists Roots Manuva!
