Queens Head

Edit: can't see them taking it away it was always quite packed and and had decent Acts on last year and the year before, its also probably in Q's contract as a sponsor to have their own stage at the festival.

everyone last year mentioned that they should swap the orange tent and the queen's head round

so there is music to listen to whilst charging your phone but more importantly you can't hear the other stage while watching a more intimate gig in the queens. It seems like a logical move.

anyway i was wondering whether anyone had suggested it more formally to Glastonbury?

The following is from the Q website -

'Q is happy to announce that all 12 finalists of the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition will get their big break on Q's very own Queen's Head Stage on Thursday June 25.

The lucky winners will kick off proceedings at the legendary Q venue from 11am, playing short sets over four hours in the run-up to the usual tremendous Queen's Head line-ups, which last year included Elbow, Santogold, Glasvegas, Roisin Murphy, and Kate Nash among others.'

I reckon it's shaping up to be one of the best little venues at the festival. The line up gets better every year. The sound-bleed from the other stage is unfortunate, but for me I'll forgive that. If it were to move I'd like it be somewhere reaaaally out of the way. Then I could have it all for myself. Ish. :D
