gemsie1904
Hi all! This year is going to be my first year at Glastonbury! I know the lineup doesn't start until the Friday but I was wondering what kind of entertainment there is for the Wednesday and Thursday? I'm really excited!!!! WildChildRockChick
Plenty to do & see - orientating yourself is a big enough job in itself, even if you get in at first knocking by the time your in, camped, set up, done the second trip to the car, had a drink, begun to wonder where the rest of it is then most of the first day is gone. There's a few bands on the Wednesday, more on the Thursday and you won't believe the way the place grows around you. I use Wednesday & Thursday as wandering days mostly, watching the last minute stuff being finished, walking up to the Stone Circle, photo opportunities. Im almost addicted to the music so I find it much harder to pull myself away from the music from Friday onwards, however worthwhile it is. LostRiot
I like Thursday afternoon when the smaller stages start having some acts on them, its a great little warm up for the festival proper.

Joshuwarr
I adored Thursday last year. As we were like the closest tent to the Leftfield stage bar a couple of others it was great to hear music being played in there all day. I did so much walking that day as well, got pissed at the Jazz World stage on Pear Cider, passed out near some random stall then vomitted up my curry I'd had. Utter bliss. 3puddings
We were by Leftfield last year too, awesome - shame it's gone for this year. God, I'm so excited I might cry! I find Weds and Thurs I'm trying to fight down the devil inside me, trying not to go overboard and mental - there are 5 days of fun dammit, why can't I pace myself?!! It's definitely a time to get your bearings, the site is enormous, we went and sat right at the top of the Park on Weds arvo last year, absolutely stunning, took me three photos to get the whole view of the site in!! disasterplan44
Levellers on the Thursday night were immense. We'd just picked up for the weekend so we were doing very well indeed, somehow managed to drop a FULL bottle of vodka in the mud at the start of the performance... and then find it again at the end. EMPTY.
