From the met office!!

UK Outlook for Sunday 21 Jun 2009 to Tuesday 30 Jun 2009:

The weather during Sunday and much of next week is expected to be dominated by high pressure. This will mean plenty of dry weather, particularly for central and southern areas with some good spells of sunshine. However, outbreaks of rain are possible at times for northern parts of Scotland, and some showery outbreaks of rain may extend a little further south across southern Scotland and Northern Ireland at times. Temperatures will be generally near normal at first, but becoming warm or very warm, especially for central and southern areas. Thereafter, generally little change. Plenty of dry, fine and warm weather is expected, though rain or showers in the north spreading further south into some central areas later, though dry and warm weather should last throughout the period across the south.

This has so cheered up my day!!

I have new wellies, my two friends have new wellies, go and get new wellies, if we work on the premise that we will not get to wear the new wellies but all take a pair incase, then I don't mind spending the tenner for dry weather, like a bargain with the rain cloudmakers...does any of that make sense? I am sure you see what I am getting at...

How does everyone on this forum know so much about weather? Do a lot of meteorologists attend Glasto or is it attending Glasto and the accompanying need to know about the weather that has made you all experts?! :lol:

I have got no idea what most of you are talking about!

Can one of the resident weather geeks tell me what FI stands for? I keep seeing it on NetWeather and know it's going to be something simple, but it's annoying me not knowing...

FI = Fantasy Island

generally once the weather gets within T120+ hours its in the fairly reliable timeframe - although T96+ is probably a better marker
