Mate..

Fret ye not my good man. Stand your ground and call it like Thom would want you to! Disagreements is what the efests life is all about. I know some would rather these boards were just full of agreement, but that's just dull!

And Wille of Wallie could easily get offended in a paper bag, on his own, when it comes to Glasto weather. if you ain't pissed off Wills, you ain't trying hard enough!

Stop stirring. JameSemajj made the somewhat 'contrarian' 'statement' earlier that it would rain for the whole festival, this is blatant bollox on current and all recent forecasts. Inverted commas deliberate :D .

It's not a matter of difference of opinion ... just question of facts ....

Whos Thom York..?

and lol at all of the responces.. since when did liking a band have anything to do with the weather?

and finally, i like it when it rains while camping, get over it and have a great weekend!

Of course, if it doesn't rain then ill have a fantastic weekend in the sun... no need for the personal attacks, this is afterall, a weather related thread....

Really? I don't remember seeing anything better than very damp forecasts all round before I left home in 2008. I'll take your word for it though, and the improvements were definitely last minute last time as you said.

Never out and out 'good' though, with the definititon of 'good' very relative too ..... Even JACKONE on Netweather admitted that the weather in the SW turning drier and (even!) sunnier was unexpected to him.

Shows that changes can be very very late, so fingers crossed folks that the reverse doesn't happen this time ...

I haven't read so much rubbish in my life, The weather on the TV can only predict weather 2/3 days in advance... All your doing is reading information off sources... the information you give to people is unrealible and there is no facts with weather forcasting, the winds could change direction almost instantly.

However, if you can give factual weather forcasts months before an event, i suggest you give the BBC a phonecall.

This was Jackone's forecast on the Tuesday night last year

Summary

A definite downturn since yesterdays forecast, with rain possible over much of the Glastonbury period. however much of this will be light and patchy, the exceptions being the rain later on Sunday and especially the rain forecast for late Thursday into Friday, there remains uncertainly and this could be the big story as this could give some heavy rain which could seriously deteriorate conditions at Glastonbury.

The FAX chart for early Friday has now been issued and this shows the cold front lying over South Wales, so some rain is probable further south over Glastonbury.

The score is therefore reverting to a 2, with more chance of a unsettled festival than a heat wave, however it all depends on the rain late Thursday into Friday, if this rain misses Glastonbury, then the conditions should be generally not that bad.

Thom Yorke then! Anyhoo, Its not a personal attack by any means. If ANYONE says stupid things like "i like it when it rains while camping" Merits a bashing to some degree. I don't really care who you like but your obsession with the downbeat moods of radiohead as clearly blinded your senses.

What you fail to grasp most about our obsession with the weather thread is years of experience when comes to Glasto and r**n. ITS NOT WANTED. NO COMPROMISE!!

Now I am only allowed to say what I say when in the weather thread (see below). Its not personal, but it does matter...

Hmmm, i find radiohead extremely uplifting actually, i suggest you listen to their music. I'm still a bit confused with the whole band/weather situation.. rain is what keeps us alive! helps forest fires, it helps us save on watering our plants and trees, helps wash our cars, cools certain areas down temp wise. gives water to wild life.

DON'T DISS RAIN, IT ROCKS!
