Fairport Convention's bassist Dave Pegg has told Classic Rock mag that they're probably playing Glastonbury.

That's interesting, Cropredy still going ahead is it? I reckon they'll get a surprisingly big crowd. They'e not my thing, you know, but I might wander past.

Fairport gigs are usually snore fests but well worth it at Cropredy when they bring out the "special" guests and if Richard Thompson shows up then its even better. Talking of Thompson, if he did his 1000 years of music set at Glasto, I'd be proper happy!

Of course, this is the very first time a festival has ever claimed it's going to have a fantastic line-up this year.

I'd probably go and see them if they did Glasto. Saves the bother of having to go to Cropredy, which to me seems like a rather overlong Fairport love-in.
