paulo999
List the acts generally* recognised as disappointing. It shouldn't be a big list, but there are some notables. Starters: 2004: Oasis * Please not the solely personally disappointing, otherwise the list could be a whinge about every single act that ever played. stripeass85
sure this thread has been done loads of times but do tell about bright eyes? What a dick, John Peel was a saint amongst sinners.
philmonster
He said a few "unkind" things about JP and the make poverty history campaign. Not excusing his behaviour but he was pretty worse for wear I believe. Hes obviously apologised for it and made an appearance at Glasto since the 2005 (i think?) performance. Water under the bridge and all that....
Sipperana
Babyshambles, 2005, poo. The Who were a big disapointment in 2007 too - sound was abysmal anyway but they did too many obscure tracks what should have been a crowd-pleasing rousing finale, topping it all with a low-key acoustic number. Walked away from the Pyramid stage feeling sidtinctly underwhelmed.

eFestivals
happy mondays, in about 1991. By three songs in, there were crushes to try and get out of the pyramid field.
Homer
On th Bright Eyes tip: Primals in - what - 2005? Bobby Gillespie making some rather insensitive remarks about Kylie's cancer, berating the audience then being booed off stage. I personally have never recovered from Ride in 94 when they decided to play a set entirely consisting of tracks from an album released THE PREVIOUS DAY!!! Langdale Wolf
Another vote for Oasis in 2004 from me. And I'm a fan. The worse thing was having to leave the brilliant set from the Bees at the New Bands tent half way through that set to get to the Pyramid. I've always regretted that. And I know I'm going to get lynched for this, and I LOVE their album, but I thought MGMT on the JP stage were dreadful last year, only helped by their last 2 songs (which in turn was only due to the crowd who were incredible). I couldn't believe it when I read so many positive reviews of their performance on here. I honestly thought they were total gash and was very disappointed. That was a shame really. ivan
Was 90 for the 1st Mondays car crash performance, the 2nd in 00 was also laughably bad.

Wooderson
me too.. they played about 10-15 minutes of new stuff out of a 90 minute performance.. the rest were drop dead rock n roll classics. The 'Tommy' encore was amazing. Obscure stuff? maybe to someone who doesn't know The Who at all
YetAnotherOldHippy
Another vote for Happy Mondays '90 Huge crowd to empty field within 3/4 songs (and use that word loosely) Never met anybody that knows if they improved later in the set as it seems everyone had gone elsewhere.
