People that have played

Wos all this shite re oasis in 2004. Every time they've played (4X i think ) they've been superb , maybe there was some form of mass hypnosis that year , fer god's sake try and face the facts instead of beein' Sun reedin' sheep. Oasis , for all their faults, piss over most bands on a daily basis , they are one of the very few modern day bands that know what rock' n' roll is . If you don't realise that then you are destined to be a Keane or Coldplay fan at the expense of the real thing for the rest of your days, possibly. Put down that Snow Patrol album you sad lightweight and get yourself some proper music like Bo Diddley , Johnny Cash , The Fall , AC/DC or Oasis . Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise , you're a feckin big girls blouse who wouldn't recognise the real thing if it came up and played in front of you on the feckin pyramid on a Saturday night at the greatest music festival in the world. I can only advise you to go back to your pussy indie student non rock like effing Vampire Weekend , I'll just bet you love that.

jay z shouldnt have played, hate people who say it was a triumph

Jay-Z should have stopped after 99 Problems. If he had it would have been the most stunning headline set ever.

Sadly, it did IMO go downhill as it went on, but for that entrance alone it was worth it. It *WAS* a triumph.

i totally agree hip hop should be at glastonbury, i've got everything crossed that kanye west plays, just dont think jay z should have headlined the pyramid stage. thats all  hilarious the way he walked out with an unplugged strat aswell, seen lil wayne do that recently. the biggest singalong was for wonderwall, then if i was drawing a graph it wouldve just done a log flume. good idea putting back in black in 99 problems though.

Arctic Monkeys in '07 was too soon to be headlining IMO (on thier debut?) but I don't like them much anyway beside a couple of their tunes & left their set after about 20 mins cos I was bored & went to the Jazz World (plus Dizzee Rascal joining them onstage and you could'nt hear a word of what he was saying was probly funniest moment of the whole weekend)

Sugababes weren't disappointing - because it was obvious they would be shite.

They were.

BUT - why were they there in the first place?

Hmm... I thought The Who were a bit rubbish as well - but then I was all mudded out, could feel the beats of the chemical brothers mere miles away and just couldnt walk anywhere ever again ever. And it was still raining. And all the people I were with were excessively pilled up and kept walking into flares (the candles - not the 70s nightclub) so I spent quite a lot of time putting them out.

Babyshambles, 2005, poo.

The Who were a big disapointment in 2007 too - sound was abysmal anyway but they did too many obscure tracks what should have been a crowd-pleasing rousing finale, topping it all with a low-key acoustic number. Walked away from the Pyramid stage feeling sidtinctly underwhelmed.

Definately don't agree about The Who... for me near the front it was a dream come true and genuinely superb.

Oasis in 2004 must surely be the most universally agreed shite gig in history. Despite thinking they are twats I appreciate they did some good tunes in the early days so I went prepared to give them a chance... my god... his silly white parker was the best thing about the whole show. Just displayed an arrogant contempt for the audience and more to the point, played and sang badly.
